The establishment and development of Chinese juvenile justice system

Abstract/Summary:
In the present time in China, there are about 3.67 hundred millions minors. This is about 2.87 times more than Japanese total population. However, there are no data available for the foreigners how to handle those minors, especially for the treatment of Juvenile Delinquents in China.;Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to trace the historical development of Juvenile Justice System in China and to present a general image of Juvenile Justice System at this moment in China.;The write would like to analyze the origin and main causes of Chinese Juvenile Justice System, and its mechanism for the development in China, in the use of the Juvenile Custody Law of People's Republic of China and Juvenile Preventive Measures against Delinquency of People's Republic of China.;In addition to the above, the writer would like to explore the structure, the characteristics and actual conditions of Chinese Juvenile Justice System in comparison with the basic standards of Japanese Juvenile Law and Convention on the Right of the Child.;In conclusion, the writer would like to point out various issues of current Chinese Juvenile Justice System and its improvement policy in China.
