This paper sets forth the rationale, supporting literature, and methodologies utilized in a dissertation project designed to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-esteem as they relate to job satisfaction. While preliminary analysis of the data did not provide statistically significant support for the hypotheses of this study, it is hoped that the results from this study will not only add to the knowledge base of existing information but may also provide greater insight for the development of evolving organizational policies and practices that recognize the value of employees and encourage their work-related satisfaction. |
