The purpose of this study is to advance research in both the areas of cross-cultural study and motivation theory study. The study asks the question: how do cross cultural values extend to workers who are currently living and working in a culture other than their own, and how do any shifts in those values affect their workplace motivation.; A two-part survey was administered to 42 Mexican workers and 44 American workers, all employed by Angelica Textiles Services, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. A total of 68 valid surveys were collected and analyzed through the use of several hypotheses.; Conclusions are drawn from this analysis, limitations of the research are presented and recommendations for future research are discussed. |
