Abstract/Summary:
The study examined the concepts and views of students and professors concerning the methods employed to assess the knowledge and skills of students enrolled in graduate courses. A survey questionnaire, interviews, observations, and videos were used to gather data. It was found that students and professors concur that assessment is necessary in order to measure and demonstrate the acquisition of knowledge and measure critical thinking. Furthermore, the assessment of graduate students' attainment of essential knowledge was preferred to the testing of memorization.
