| An effective distribution automation system must involve both hardware and software. A complete database is necessary to the use of sophisticated software, and that software is the key to distribution automation. VAX-Intergraph facilities are considered to provide both feeder maps and database management system. An "one keystroke" load flow program is designed to fetch data, compute load flow, and put results on feeder map automatically. The whole process is completed via one keystroke. Recent development of a three-phase unbalanced load flow program and the feedback control idea provide the means of attaining an effective distribution automation system. |
