In simple terms, distribution automation is a system, which can be used to monitor and control the power distribution network. It is a kind of advanced technology which has gradually developed in recent years. It is the application of advanced technology such as IT, communication and so on. This system has been applied in Some western developed country currently. some of China’s power companies have also carried out in this regard.Through this technology, we can greatly enhance the reliability of power supply, improve work efficiency, so as to effectively protect the quality of power supply, the liberation of productive forces, to maximize the ability to play the existing equipment. So, whether it is power users,or power supply units, this technology can give them considerable economic benefits.Take Zhuzhou power supply company as an example, Tianyuan District in Zhuzhou to promote the full automation and distribution. In the promotion of the technology, the area of power supply quality has been effectively guaranteed, management ability has been greatly enhanced.This paper takes the distribution network of Tianyuan District of Zhuzhou as the key research project, and analyzes the current situation of 10 kV power network, and summarizes the existing problems, and puts forward the corresponding measures to solve the problems, such as the quality of power supply and the promotion of automation technology. Based on the analysis of the actual situation and the status of distribution network, the paper cut into the information integration, information construction planning, automatic network construction and distribution network system construction.
