Abstract/Summary:
This study explored the relationship between the leadership style and the job satisfaction of Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP) Employment Providers when controlling for age, gender, education, ethnicity, tenure, position, and business size. A total of 140 Texas statewide CRPs participated and they self-rated their Leadership Style using the Avolio and Bass (2004) Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ-5X), and they self-rated their Job Satisfaction using the Abridged Job Descriptive Index and the Abridged Job in General (Smith et al., 1969; Ironson et al., 1989; Stanton et al., 2001; Russell et al., 2004). In conclusion, the results for this sample identified Transformational Leadership was a significant predictor for Job Satisfaction subscales---Work, Supervision and Job in General, and Passive Avoidant Leadership was a significant predictor for Job Satisfaction subscale---Pay.
