Studies On The Reform Of Living Modality Of Urban Village In Xi’an City

Urban village is a special phenomenon during the fast urbanization in our country. As the reform and opening to the outside as well as the quick development and spread, the former village in the combination between urban and rural area has gradually been totally or partly embraced by the building districts. However, urban village, which has become the separated island in the city, is different from the urban community in architecture scenery, constitution of population, features of economy and administration, and lifestyle.The dissertation consists of eight chapters and the contents of each chapter are as follows.Chapter 1 is the introduction of the dissertation. In this chapter, the author introduces the phenomenon, problems of the urban village and the necessary of its reform. On the basis of systematically concluding the research of urban village, illustrates the meaning of studying this problem and points out the start of studying the living modality of urban village through architect.In chapter 2:the author introduces the main factors of the urban village and Xi’an city, and analyzing the history evolution through“time-space”.In chapter 3:on the basis of investigations, the author analysis the characters and classification of urban village on the environment, land use and living environments, and taking six villages as examples.Chapter 4:taking Xibali village as an example, on the basis of questionnaires on the villagers and the floating population, the author research the present situation characteristics of the living modality, and the transition of the village space and building space. Chapter 5:systematically analysis the theory and practice of reform urban village. Introduce some theories and practice abroad, including the renovation of the slum in west developed countries, participation in low income community’s renewal of developing countries, and the public housing policies in Hong Kong. And taking Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Beijing and Zhengzhou as examples, include the progress and the features of the reformation of urban village.Chapter 6:analyzing the three reforming patterns of the urban village, including by the collective enterprise, the development corporation and the government, the author summarize the features and the problems in the progress.Chapter 7:the analysis and interpretation about the governance of urban village, the small scale renewing reformation and the overall reformation.Chapter 8 is concluding part.
