For more than 40 years of reform and opening up,China's economy has continued to grow at a rapid rate,and its total economic volume has ranked second in the world.The rapid economic development is also accompanied by a large amount of energy consumption and the emission of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.China's total energy consumption has surpassed the United States to become the world's largest energy consumer,but energy efficiency is still at a low level.As the world's energy supply is becoming increasingly scarce,the "high energy consumption and low output" economic model is increasingly restricting the country's economic development,especially when China's economic growth has entered a period of growth shift,structural adjustment and "new and old kinetic energy" conversion.In the transition process from high-speed growth to high-quality development,further improving energy efficiency and achieving an intensive and energy-saving economy are the top priorities of our country's development.This article comprehensively uses industrial economics theory,energy economics theory,and modern economic theory,starting from the assumption that industrial structure adjustment and energy efficiency converge synchronously,through theoretical analysis,statistical analysis,convergence test,and empirical analysis,we gradually study China's industrial structure.Through our in-depth analysis and research,it is found that in the process of China's economic development,industrial structure adjustment and energy efficiency have the characteristics of spatial and temporal differentiation between regions.The two are spatially correlated and show a synchronous convergence trend.The adjustment of industrial structure will produce scale effect,structural effect and technological effect,respectively,and energy efficiency,but the effects generated by the two have different focus.The impact of industrial structure adjustment on energy efficiency has a space spillover effect,and the non-linear effect and threshold effect of industrial structure adjustment on energy efficiency under different technological progress situations.The research in this paper has important theoretical and practical significance for the country to formulate macroeconomic and industrial adjustment policies and sub-regional policies to achieve the dual goals of industrial structure adjustment and optimization and energy efficiency improvement.The main work and research conclusions of this paper are reflected in the following aspects:First,the hypothesis that industrial structure adjustment and energy efficiency converge simultaneously is proposed and tested.Based on the fact that China's industrial structure adjustment tends to converge and the fact that energy efficiency presents a convergence trend,from the driving role of optimal resource allocation,the driving role of technological progress and diffusion,the forceful role of economic growth,the institutional overflow of government behavior The four aspects of the function analyze in detail the possible internal relationship between the two.The comprehensive application of ?convergence,absolute ? convergence and conditional ? convergence and club convergence methods were used to test the respective convergence characteristics of China's industrial structure adjustment and energy efficiency and the synchronous convergence of the two.The study found that there is no ? convergence in the rationalization,advancement and energy efficiency of the industrial structure during the2003-2017 survey period,but there are absolute ? convergence and conditional ? convergence and club convergence at the national,eastern,central,western and northeastern levels.The convergence situation and the convergence speed of different regions are different.Second,explain the internal mechanism of industrial structure adjustment affecting energy efficiency.Taking into account both the rationalization of industrial structure and the advancement of industrial structure,the analysis is carried out from three levels: action mechanism,transmission path,and effect analysis.Industrial structure adjustment can act on energy efficiency through rationalization and advancement,and achieve optimization of industrial structure while improving energy efficiency.The adjustment of industrial structure affects energy efficiency through the proportion of primary,secondary and tertiary industries and the direct transmission path of intra-industry adjustment,and through economic growth,urbanization and other indirect transmission paths.The effects of industrial structure adjustment can be divided into scale effect,structural effect and technological effect.The effect of industrial structure rationalization focuses on scale effect,and the effect of industrial structure advanced is focused on technical effect,but both will pass different Ways to produce structural effects.Through these influence effects,the unit energy consumption output can be increased and the energy utilization structure can be optimized,and finally the energy efficiency can be improved simultaneously.Third,using exploratory data to analyze the temporal and spatial differentiation characteristics of China's industrial structure adjustment and energy efficiency.Construct and calculate indicators that represent industrial structure adjustment and energy efficiency evaluation,and analyze the spatial and temporal differences using the spatial trend maps drawn by ARCGIS and the spatial trend maps of various regions.All have the characteristics of uneven development.The advanced industrial structure in the east is much higher than that in other regions.The energy efficiency index of cities in China basically shows a trend of first decreasing and then rising,but there are still obvious differences in energy efficiency invarious regions.The energy efficiency of cities in the eastern region is the highest,and the energy efficiency in other regions shows different degrees of difference.Further analysis of the spatial and temporal correlation between China's industrial structure adjustment and energy efficiency.There is a positive correlation between the advanced industrial structure and energy efficiency,and the correlation between the rationalization of industrial structure and energy efficiency is slightly different in different regions.The impact of rationalization and advanced industrial structure on energy efficiency is related to the convergence of the two.The better the convergence,the greater the impact on energy efficiency.Fourth,the use of urban data to study the impact of industrial structure adjustment on energy efficiency and its spatial spillover effect.This paper uses 4065 sample data from 271prefecture-level cities from 2003 to 2017 to construct a panel regression model and a spatial econometric model to analyze the impact of China's industrial structure adjustment on energy efficiency and spatial spillover effects from a more microscopic level.The study found that China's industrial structure adjustment has a positive impact on energy efficiency and space spillover effect.Industrial structure adjustment has a positive promotion effect on the improvement of energy efficiency in surrounding areas.Industrial structure adjustment has a significant space spillover effect on energy efficiency.This spatial spillover effect is stronger in the eastern and western regions,while it is weaker in the central region.Further build the panel threshold model analyzes the adjustment of industrial structure on the energy efficiency exist nonlinear effect and the technical threshold effect,high-level industrial structure's impact on energy efficiency for nonlinear positive influence,the influence of the rationalization of industrial structure on the energy efficiency influenced by technological progress level,affected by different threshold value is not the same size.Fifth,based on the convergence hypothesis,the practical revelation of industrial structure adjustment on energy efficiency was found.The study believes that the adjustment of industrial structure is driven by the interaction and rationalization of industrial structure rationalization and advancement.China's industrial structure adjustment has a positive impact on energy efficiency.This positive impact is more from the industrialization of advanced industrial structure on energy efficiency.As a result,the impact of rational industrial structure on energy efficiency is more complex,and its performance in different regions is also inconsistent.It is necessary to pay attention to the resource mismatch,industrial transfer and labor transfer in the industrial structure of different cities in different regions to promote the rational convergence of the industrial structure.The impact of the rationalization of industrial structure on urban energy efficiency is directly affected by the threshold of technologicalprogress.It is necessary to continue to pay attention to the impact of technological progress on industrial structure adjustment and energy efficiency.
