Research On The Impact Of Changes In Economic Structure On Energy Efficiency In Anhui Province

At present,the world faces two major problems,one is environmental pollution and the other is insufficient energy supply.The energy industry is a basically strategic industry of a country.Energy is an important material basis for the survival and development of the society.It is also the dynamic support for the country’s vigorous development and the basic guarantee for the people’s happy life.On the one hand,the consumption and utilization of energy will reduce the amount of primary energy reserves.On the other hand,it will cause environmental pressure.Obviously,from the perspective of energy to consider these two problems,it is easier to find a solution than before.The results of various studies by domestic and foreign scholars indicate that improving energy efficiency is one of the effective solutions to the two major problems.Energy efficiency is the basis of energy policy.For decades,the economic,safe,and environmental benefits brought by energy efficiency have all been demonstrated.Ways to increase energy efficiency can’t be generalized.This article focuses on the representative Anhui Province in terms of geographical location,resource reserves and economic development.Energy efficiency was measured using the data envelopment analysis.After theoretical analysis and empirical research,the impact of changes in economic structure on energy efficiency was explored.The economic structure is an economic system that examines from different levels,including energy structure,consumption structure,economic organization structure,industrial structure,labor structure,technical structure,regional structure,and employment structure.The article mainly studies the industrial structure and energy consumption structure in the economic structure from the perspective of the national economic sector,social reproduction,and specialized research needs.The main research contents and results of this article are as follows:(1)Using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to systematically analyze the status of the industrial structure,total energy production and consumption,and energy consumption structure in Anhui Province.By establishing a multiple regression model,the rationality of the relationship between energy consumption structure and energy efficiency was verified.The results show that: At present,China’s industrial structure has begun to enter the "321" model,which is in line with the industrial structure of developed countries such as the United States.However,the industrial structure of Anhui Province is a "231" model,which is not conducive to the continued development of China’s industrial structure.Recent years,the total coal consumption and oil consumption in Anhui Province have been decreasing.Among them,the usage of coal in living energy consumption has begun to be limited.The consumption of natural gas and biofuels in industrial enterprises is increasing.However,the energy consumption structure of Anhui Province is still dominated by coal,the proportion of clean energy is low,and the energy consumption of the industrial sector is much higher than that of other industries,and its total energy production and consumption and the speed of development are unbalanced.There are problems such as the imbalance between supply and demand,and poor energy-based reserves.(2)Constructed a vector auto-regressive(VAR)model,and used metrology software to empirically analyze the impact of changes in economic structure on energy efficiency.The research results are basically consistent with the research hypothesis.The results show that there exists a long-term and stable co-integration relationship among the industrial structure,energy consumption structure and energy efficiency.The proportion of the secondary industry’s output value,technological progress,the proportion of natural gas consumption,and the proportion of primary electricity and other energy consumption are the Granger causes of energy efficiency.In the short term,there is a positive relationship among industrial structure,coal consumption,oil consumption and energy efficiency.However,in the long run,there is a positive relationship among the tertiary industry,technological progress,natural gas consumption,primary electricity and other energy consumption and energy efficiency.The tertiary industry and natural gas consumption have the strongest positive impact on energy efficienc and the highest contribution.The impact of technological progress on energy efficiency has gradually increased,the contribution has gradually increased,and the promotion of primary electricity and other energy consumption has been weak.The relationship among the secondary industry,coal consumption,oil consumption and energy efficiency is a negative change.As a whole,the secondary industry,coal consumption and oil consumption will inhibit the improvement of energy efficiency.(3)Based on the theoretical and empirical research,this paper proposes some countermeasures and suggestions from the perspective of the province’s situation in Anhui Province and explores possible ways to improve energy efficiency in Anhui Province.It is believed that the following five aspects can be implemented to improve energy efficiency:(1)adjusting the industrial structure and developing the tertiary industry.(2)Promoting technological progress and increasing research investment.(3)Changing the energy consumption structure and increasing the proportion of clean energy.(4)Increasing new energy subsidies and guiding the integration of new energy industries with traditional industries.(5)Innovating energy consumption concepts and cultivating green energy habits.
