On The Vocabulary Of The Republic Of China Based On The "Hanyu Da Cidian"

In the study on the history of Chinese Language, the history of Chinese vocabulary study is relatively weaker. LvShuXiang once said:"The history of Chinese vocabulary study should be said the weakest link of the study on the history of Chinese language. About the textual research of individual words, ancient and modern scholars have done quite a lot.But their researches are still a very small proportion in all the study on the Chinese vocabulary." And in the history of Chinese vocabulary study, more rare concentrate their attention on the Republic of China.Any slightest change of the social will be truly recorded and preserved in the words. Words like the living fossil about the national history. So the meticulouse and complete investigation?discribtion and analysis on the complete picture of the Republic of China vocabulary, not only to Chinese vocabulary history, Chinese linguistic research has important value and significance, but will also be related provided valuable materials to sociology, anthropology, philosophy and culture researches.The paper takes the " Hanyu Da Cidian "for the primitive language database.We collected and organized the materials of the words which were first be documented in the works of the Republic of China.The wodes in the corpora are fully enclosed, end type statisticsed and described.On the basis, through quantitative analysis which can reflect the digital changes, the ebb and flow of the change of the words, we can research the dynamic process of the vocabulary development, thus we can find the vocabulary's development and evolution regularity, and the qualitative research on the development of the vocabulary.Referencing the semantic field theory,we explore the interconnection in the vocabulary,try to grasp the historical origination in the vocabulary development from macroscope in the social development environment. We hope that through this study, we can cause more and more researchers pay their attention on the vocabulary of ROC, and the study of the history of the words of ROC.The article is composed by five parts:The first chapter is an introduction, which is to analyze the current situation of the study on the history of Chinese Language,the significanse in the history of the meaning of words and the republic of China and the topics of the specific content and method. In vocabulary study,the study on the words of ROC is very weak.Maybe, we can say that this is a piece of virgin land which has not been reclaimed.In the old days, researches on the words of this period were limited in the examples of words, or in a few words simply.But we can't ignore this history,no matter from which angle.W e can't ignore the major turnarounds and changes in the words'process of development and evolution during the turbulent history.During the border period of the Ancient Chinese and Morden Chinese,during the history of the traditional ideology and culture and the modern western ideological culture blending, breaking in, and fighting,we must pay more and more attention to the progress of the words in this period.But the research form:such as the general vocabulary,basic vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, dialect words, loanwords,the methods of classification especially the example type,which can't be the best methods for us.We don't think through this form,we can judge objectively the full view of the vocabulary's progressand changes.So we introduce the semantic field from elsewhere, put thevocabulary development to the social development,and use the quantity statistic method,then select boldly the "Hanyu Da Cidian"as the corpus.We ues the digital conclusion as the basic and starting point,on the basic of a series of digital,we launch our research.The chapter 2 to the chapter 5 are the main parts of the article.In the four chapters,the first two chapters are about the landmark new word games.We choice the words which can representative or reflect the times'characteristic of the ROC,then we classified them systemly.The other two chapters are into the vocabulary internal respectively,which are about the grammatical structure and the semantic relations.The second chapter and the third chapter are about the words of the times.We summarize the words which can show the characteristics of the Republic of China from the social angle. When we research these words,we first take the new words which belong to the same social field into account.We polymerizate these words, then the "landmark new word games" constituted. The ability that the words reflect the social characteristics is very limited, but the ability that a game that contacts a series of words reflects is much more powerful. So in the paper, we mainly from these signs: technology, transportation and communication field, literature?art and customs, education and publishing industry, industry and commerce entertainment, political and military field, textile clothing angles……We classified these new words systematically, and the fields influenced each other much more or the industry department together are strung up with the clues which can affect the body.The forth chapter isdiscussed the grammatical structures'characteristics of the new words. We mainly concentrate on the two-syllable words (including the new meanings'words),analysis and study their grammar structure.Including the combination of the morpheme's part-of-speech in each kind of the grammar structures, the correspondence between the parts of speech of the morpheme and the parts of speech of the word. To them, we have a detailed land systemed analysis and research. In this regard, we try to study deeper, try to dig out the Chinese new combination rule, in order to better constraint, norms the new words and new jargons.The fifth chapter is about the semantic relations in the new two-syllable words. It is still unclear that what is the semantic relation and how many types of the semantic relations.But these are not our research focus.Our research is focused on the correspondence between the meanings of the morphemes in each grammatical structures.Itis not studied from the relationship of contrast between the meanings of the morphemes and of the words. So this is a study on the combinative relationship between the semantics'meanings of a word. And,on the basis of the summarization of these types, we mined the strongest semantic mode in each grammatical structures.This paper has the following innovative points:The first:opening up a new fields of study in the study on the history of Chinese Language——the Study on the vocabulary of the Republic of China.Our rearch is deeped into the weakest links of the study on the history of Chinese Language. In the study of ROC, we will bridge a better bridge from the ancient Chinese to the morden Chinese.The second:"Without the social, there's no language," only in the real social, we can better grasp the language's department context. So, we use the "symbolic new words field" to organize the new words.We put these words into the history and the society, thus we can restore the background of the history and the society really.We can touch the national culture, the development of history clearly and deeply. We can grasp the time development context and processes, feel the features and the characteristics of the ROC. The third:When we research the grammar structure, we focus on the relationship between the parts of speech of the morpheme and the parts of speech of the word. On the basis of the quantitative description on the correspondence between the parts of speech of the morpheme and the parts of speech of the word, we reach a conclusion with the digital——the number of the same-sex morphemes is much more than the opposite-sex morphemes,and in the opposite-sex morphemes,there also have a lot of differences:the influence of the morphemes part of speech to the word's part-of-speech is not equally,especially in the word which is builded mainly by the nominal morphemes,the dynamic part-of-speech morphemes or the describe part-of-speech morphemes.For example,if there is a dynamic part-of-speech morphemes in the word, the part of speech of the conjunct will be a verb possible,and if there is a norminal morphemes at the second place,the possibility of the word'part-of-speech will be a noun more than an adjective.In addition, because the " Hanyu Da Cidian " has its own shortage which needs to be revised and perfected, so in this paper's appendix, we enclose some added content: " Hanyu Da Cidian " documentary evidence lag words supplement.
