In recent years,the number of coal mine accidents in China has dropped significantly.However,there are still many problems in coal mine safety accidents,especially occupational safety and health issues that need to be resolved urgently.Mental health is a manifestation individual's psychological function,it can affect people's behavioral outcomes.Investigations by related scholars have found that there are common mental health problems among coal miner's in China.Work stress is the main occupational risk factor affecting mental health.Miners need to cope with greater safety stress to achieve the mining safe production goal.Psychosocial safety climate is a valuable organizational resource,it reflects the organization's emphasis on mental health and behavioral safety in the process of employees' work.Most of scholars believe that the theory of psychosocial safety climate can predict job design and occupational risk factors.Although the predecessors have conducted extensive research on the relationship between safety climate and safe behavior.However,few scholars have explored the crosslevel study from the organizational level psychosocial safety climate on the individual level of safety behavior.Meanwhile,the role of safety stress and mental health in this relationship is unclear.In addition,the relationship between psychosocial safety climate and safety behavior whether influenced by leadership factors,it requires in-depth analysis.Based on the above analysis,this study compiled a psychosocial safety climate scale in line with the situation of Chinese coal mining enterprises.The mechanism of the impact of psychosocial safety climate on the safety behavior of miners was quantitatively analyzed.At the same time,the mediating role of safety stress and mental health,and the moderating role of safety-specific transformation leadership were studied in depth.First of all,this paper combines the actual situation of Chinese coal enterprises and develops a psychosocial safety climate scale using standardized scale preparation procedures.The initial item of psychosocial safety climate scales was obtained through literature review,on-site interviews and expert discussion methods.On this basis,a small sample pre-test was carried out,and project analysis and exploratory factor analysis were carried out on the measured data to achieve the screening of the items.A large sample survey was then carried out,the reliability and validity of the measured data were tested to ensure the structural validity and reliability of the scale.Finally,a psychosocial safety climate scale in line with the coal enterprise situation was form,it consisted of 18 topics and 6 dimensions,contain management commitment,mental health priority,organizational communication,organizational participation,organizational responsibility and organizational trust.The topics compiled in this paper can achieve the measurement of the level of psychosocial safety climate of coal enterprises,it has a good theoretical significance for the dimension expansion of this construct,it also has reliable and concise practical value.Secondly,this paper explores the impact mechanism of psychosocial safety climate on the safety behavior of miners.By combing and summarizing a large number of documents,combined with social exchange theory,job demandresource model,work stress theory and conservation ofresources theory,the hypothetical model of the research is proposed.It is believed that the psychological safety climate not only directly affects the safety behavior of miners,but also through the indirect effects of safety stress and mental health.Safetyspecific transformation leadership regulates the impact of psychosocial safety climate on safety behavior.Based on the hypothesis,a questionnaire survey was conducted on 1600 miners in 30 sub-mines of four state-owned enterprises in Shanxi Province.The structural equation modeling,hierarchical linear modeling,stepwise regression and deviation correction percentile Bootstrap method were used to empirically analyze the conceptual model and research hypothesis.The results indicating that:(1)The psychosocial safety climate has a significant cross-level positive impact on the safety behavior and mental health of miners.The psychosocial safety climate has a significant cross-level negative impact on safety stress.(2)Three dimension of safety stress: interpersonal safety conflicts,safety role ambiguities and safety role conflicts significantly were negatively affected the miner's safety behavior,and they have different impacts on safety participation and safety compliance.(3)Interpersonal safety conflicts,safety role ambiguities and safety role conflicts were cross-level mediate the relationship between psychosocial safety climate and mental health;mental health mediates the relationship between psychosocial safety climate and safety behavior;safety stress and mental health palys chain mediation role between psychosocial safety climate and safe behavior.(4)Safety-specific transformational leadership moderate the relationship between psychosocial safety climate and safety participation and safety compliance,that means high-level safety-specific transformational leadership helps to improve the impact of psychosocial safety climate on safety behavior.The innovations of this research were mainly reflected in following aspects:(1)Using the standardized scale development program,combined with the actual situation of China's coal mines,compiling a psychosocial safety climate scale in line with the Chinese situation,making a theoretical contribution to the structural differentiation of the psychosocial safety climate.(2)The mechanism of the impact of psychosocial safety climate on the safety behavior of miners was analyzed.The discovery of a psychosocial safety climate helps to alleviate the miners' safety stress and improve their mental health.It also found that safety stress plays a cross-level intermediary role in the relationship between psychosocial safety climate and mental health.Mental health plays a cross-level intermediary role in the relationship between psychosocial safety climate and safety behavior.Safety stress and mental health plays a chain intermediary role between psychosocial safety climate and safety behavior.Clarify the path of psychosocial safety climate on safety behavior:“Psychosocial safety climate?Safety stress?Mental health?Safety behavior”.It extends the analysis of the “Psychological impair Path” in the JD-R model of psychosocial safety climate,and at the same time makes up for the research and application of the psychosocial safety climate mechanism on high-risk occupations.(3)This study found that the safety-specific transformation leadership plays a positive cross-level moderating role in the process of psychosocial safety climate influence the safety behavior.It intuitively and systematically explains the mechanism of action between safety-specific transformation leadership,psychosocial safety climate and safety behavior.It lays a theoretical foundation for construct a psychosocial safety climate.
