This essay mainly focuses on the Spanish contemporary artist Antonio Lopez Garcia's(1936-)art hide a relationship between abstraction and special viewing methods,to collect some of Lopez's paintings and painting processes,observation tools as the main research materials.Analyze the internal relationship between its“Observation of Window” and abstract expression.And compared with other artists and other fields of “observation” to make an extensive comparison,deduction and analogy of its internal intuition thinking activities,and separate the reference value from “Observation method”;at the same time to exclude redundant observation tools(window)itself.The ultimate goal is to consider Lopez,an artist who is passionate about paint from life,as an example: in the “dilemma” era in which Subjectivism and Rationalism are rampant,how to paint or art.The main body of this article consists of eight chapters,divided into three pieces.The first piece(chapters 1 to 3)mainly describes the four artistic characteristics of Lopez--observation,“window”,realism and abstraction.And a question about the artist Lopez arises,how to see abstraction and finally make abstraction “implicit”.The second piece(Chapter 4 to Chapter 6)is to further analyze the internal relationship between the four characteristics to answer the remaining questions left by the first piece.We can understand that it is the “window” tool that helps the observation of concentration and makes Lopez see the truth.And then the implicitness and explicitness of abstraction are produced.This also highlights a new question,should we learn Lopez's “window” tool or just the observing method behind.The third piece(Chapter 7 and 8)is to answer the questions left in the second piece by combining “Observing Thing as Itself” and Phenomenology,and the relationship between visual reality and observing methods.Eventually,“excess” was excluded from Lopez's visual method--personal characteristics: “window” tool and rational attitude;reference value was separated--an observing method: concentration and devotion.There are two appendices at the end of the article as supplements,which are used to verify the practical effectiveness of this observing method and trace the reference originating from history.Through this research,we learned that in the “dilemma” of Subjectivism and Rationalism,art should have another way to choose from.The value of art is not only in subjective self-expression or object-oriented knowledge world.It also lies in“optimizing” our own cognitive model from a process of seeking reality.Art should be the way we “reshape” ourselves,not the temptation to lose ourselves.The reference value separated from Lopez's “Observation of Window” in this essay is to give a specific plan for “remodeling” own cognitive model — a viewing method:concentration and devotion.
