And a series of questions.On the basis of collecting and sorting out a large number of documents and historical materials,cultural relics and folk oral historical materials related to the phenomenon of women’s watching dramas,and comprehensively using research methods and theories such as drama,feminism,history,folklore,sociology and Philology,this paper analyzes the types of female audiences and their demands for watching dramas,places and facilities for watching dramas,customs of watching dramas,contents of watching dramas,and views of women from all walks of life in the Qing Dynasty In terms of the attitude of the play,a systematic analysis and research are made.In the first chapter,from the perspective of opera audience,the female audience in Qing Dynasty is divided into palace,official,civilian,brothel and other female types,and the characteristics of each type of female audience and its influence on the development of opera are discussed.Based on the living conditions,social and family roles and actual needs of women in Qing Dynasty,this paper discusses the needs of women’s drama viewing,such as communication,entertainment,star chasing,clothing display,etc.It is believed that the entertainment and communication needs are the general needs of women ’s watching dramas,and the behavior of women’ s watching dramas with beautiful clothes and fancy clothes has a special gender meaning under the social system of men ’s superiority and women’ s inferiority in ancient times.It is an effective way for women to obtain more social resources.The female audience’s pursuit of actors of different genders has special cultural significance.It is a variety of needs of watching drama that contributed to the popularity of watching drama for women in the Qing Dynasty.The second chapter focuses on where to look,and discusses the theatre and facilities of women’s view in Qing Dynasty.When women and men watch together,they share the same theater space.The special feature is that all kinds of theatres are equipped with special facilities for women to watch plays.In particular,the buildings,stands,women’s platforms,women’s factories and women’s pavilions in the temple theater are well preserved.The reason for the establishment of the facilities for women’s watching plays is not only the result of the enhancement of theatre and the emphasis on women’s watching plays,but also the consideration of strict prevention of men and women,taking care of women and seeking interests.The remains of the special women’s family members’ theatre in Lianghu village in Gaoping City provide a material basis for us to explore the phenomenon of women’s curtain watching drama in Ming and Qing Dynasties and the historical changes of theatre.In the late
