China's late Qing society was poor and weak,and the crisis of culture and education was a disaster for the Chinese nation.The fundamental to save the crisis is to focus on educational reform.As the object of educational reform,the school system bears the brunt.The school system symbolizing new learning laid an institutional foundation for the establishment of educational modernization,and China's modern higher art education system began to be gradually established.At the same time,the school system is also a variable construction process under the background of the times.As the origin of this paper's research on higher art education,this paper focuses on the establishment,replacement,abolition,reconstruction and optimization of the school system,focusing on the guidance and influence of its occurrence and development on higher art education.This paper takes the four school systems of renyin school system(1902),guimao school system(1904),Renzi Guichou school system(1912-1913)and renxu school system(1922)designed by the state as the basic context(see Appendix).Taking the first Opium War in 1840 as the research beginning and the founding of new China in 1949 as the basic temporal logic of this paper.It can be said that in the process of establishing the school system,the institutionalization of modern Chinese higher education has experienced the evolution process of learning from Taixi,learning from Japan and learning from the United States.The complex and changeable current situation is also a historical endorsement that promotes each choice and transformation.The higher art education investigated in this paper refers to three fields.One is the industrial school education when there was no school system in the late Qing Dynasty.Through the investigation of the graphics courses related to various industrial schools,the initial appearance of higher art education was initially established,with Fujian Mawei Shipping school as the investigation center;Secondly,according to the two school systems successively launched in the late Qing Dynasty,the early picture manual education centered on Liangjiang Normal School is sorted out in the relevant system regulations under the guidance of the school system;The third is the establishment of the educational system in the early Republic of China and the improvement of school art education in the higher education system.Taking Shanghai Art College,Beijing Art College and Hangzhou art college as the investigation center,it also discusses the normal art education of the Art Department of the school of education of National Central University.The four part school system has established from the "graphics" of the military engineering school to the "Drawing Manual" of the higher normal school,and then to the "professional education" of colleges and universities.It investigates the self growth and constant changes of higher art education in this vision,summarizes some experience and reflection,and provides enlightenment and reference for the reform and development of higher art education in contemporary China.
