Since the Chinese government proposed the “Belt and Road” initiative in 2013,it has attracted the attention of many countries, regions and international organizations in the international arena.Laos is one of the countries that signed the cooperation agreement of China's "Belt and Road" initiative, and it is a key node of cooperation between China and the "Belt and Road" and "China-ASEAN".As a beneficiary of the cooperation between Laos and China under the framework of the “Belt and Road”,the author has the opportunity to obtain funding from the China Study Abroad Project to study in China.I have benefited a lot from studying abroad in China in recent years. In order to learn something useful and reward the motherland, the author specifically selected the topic of cooperation between Laos and China under the framework of the “Belt and Road” as the topic of my doctoral thesis, with a view to contributing ideas and contributions to promoting the cooperation between Laos and China to build the “Belt and Road”.As a part of the international students themselves. On the basis of sorting out the relevant research literature at home and abroad, the author chooses to conduct research from the perspective of the Lao public's social cognition of the “Belt and Road” initiative and the social foundation of the cooperation between Laos and China.Through quantitative analysis, the thesis uses the author's investigation and collection of empirical data in Laos as a support to examine the social cognitive characteristics of the Lao People's "Belt and Road" initiative, and analyzes the influencing factors of the "Belt and Road" recognition. The main conclusions are as follows:First, the advantages of cooperation between Laos and China complement each other and the social foundation is deep.First,Laos is connected with China and mountains and rivers. Both sides have their own endowments of resources and their respective industrial structures have their own characteristics.Cooperation between the two companies' complementary advantages will bring about a win-win situation.Laos and China have strong economic complementarities and great potential for cooperation.Second, the friendly and cooperative relations and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and China have been continuously promoted by the leaders of the two countries. The two sides have maintained mutual visits and agreed on the direction of cooperation and development.Second, the paper investigates the degree of recognition of the Laotian people on the “Belt and Road” initiative, and examines the Lao people 's perception of the role of the “Belt and Road” initiative through a scale, mainly including its positive and negative impacts.aspect.The data analysis results show that the Lao people have a high degree of recognition of the “Belt and Road” initiative, and the degree of recognition is worth 3.96(out of 5 points),which indicates that the Lao public generally holds a relatively high level of “Belt and Road” construction between Laos and China.enthusiastic attitude. In terms of the performance of the “Belt and Road” initiative, the “Belt and Road” initiative has a high score of positive performance, all above 3.5 points(out of 5 points).Among them, the “Belt and Road” initiative has a positive political performance score of 3.91,a positive economic performance score of 3.94,a positive cultural performance score of 3.88,and a positive social performance score of 3.76.The “Belt and Road” initiative has a positive infrastructure performance score of 3.85.The Belt and Road Initiative 's negative performance score is below 3.5,which is 3.40.Third,the study further explores the characteristics of the Lao people with different characteristics in identifying the “Belt and Road” initiative.Among them,in the age distribution of the “Belt and Road” initiative, the recognition of the “Belt and Road” by individuals at different ages generally shows an inverted “U” distribution, that is,as the age continues to increase, the Laotian public 's The identity of the initiative is also increasing, but it will decrease after reaching a certain peak, that is,the age will increase, and the identity will decrease. In the gender distribution of the “Belt and Road” initiative, the male group of the Lao people will The degree of recognition of the initiative is higher than that of the female group. The former deserves to be divided into 4.07 and the latter are worth to be divided into 3.79.In the income distribution of the “Belt and Road” initiative, individuals with different income status agree with the “Belt and Road” initiative. It generally shows an increasing trend, that is,the higher the income, the higher the degree of recognition of the "Belt and Road" initiative;in the distribution of the education level of the "Belt and Road" initiative, the degree of recognition of the "Belt and Road" by individuals with different educational levels is roughly "U" "Type distribution, that is,as the age increases, the Lao public's recognition of the" Belt and Road "initiative is decreasing. However, when it reaches a certain bottom,it will rise, that is,the level of education will increase, and the degree of recognition of the “Belt and Road” initiative will increase. In the distribution of the information channels of the “Belt and Road” initiative, the Lao people use Internet channels to obtain information. The degree of recognition of the “Belt and Road” initiative is lower than those who use traditional media to obtain information. The former is worth 3.90 and the latter is worth 4.05.The results of analysis of variance(p <0.005)all support the above findings.Fourth, the paper takes the Laos public's "Belt and Road" identity as the outcome variable, and uses a multiple linear regression model to study the influencing factors of Laos public "Belt and Road" identity. The study found that: First, variables such as age, gender, income, education level, and information channels all had significant effects on the “Belt and Road” identification.Among them, age was significant and positively correlated at the 99.9% level. The higher the age,the higher the degree of individual “Belt and Road” identification;the gender dummy variable(taking men as a reference)and the “Belt and Road” identification showed a significant negative correlation.Compared with the male group, the female group has a lower degree of recognition of the “Belt and Road”(p <0.01);the income is significantly and positively correlated at the 95% level. The higher the average monthly income, the more the individual 's “Belt and Road” recognition High;there is a very significant positive correlation between educational level and individual “Belt and Road” identification(p <0.001).The higher the educational level, the higher the individual 's recognition of the “Belt and Road” initiative;New Internet media as a reference)has a significant negative correlation with the “Belt and Road” identification.Compared with the new Internet media, groups using traditional media to understand “Belt and Road” information have a higher “Belt and Road” identification(p <0.01)).Second,Chinese perception has a greater impact on the Laotian public's "Belt and Road" identity. After controlling variables such as age, gender, income, education level, and information channels,Chinese cognitive variables showed a very significant positive correlation with the “Belt and Road” identification(p <0.001).The analysis results show that the higher the Lao public's understanding of China, the higher their recognition of the “Belt and Road” initiative.Third, the performance of the “Belt and Road” role is a key variable that affects the public's recognition of “Belt and Road” in Laos.On the one hand, the positive political performance variables, positive economic performance variables, positive social performance variables, and positive infrastructure performance variables of the “Belt and Road” have significant positive correlations with the “Belt and Road” identification(p <0.05).This shows that the higher the positive political performance, positive economic performance, positive social performance, and positive infrastructure performance of the “Belt and Road”,the higher the recognition of the “Belt and Road” initiative by the Lao people. The “Belt and Road” initiative cultural performance variable and the “Belt and Road” identity also have a positive correlation. However,as far as the data collected in this survey are concerned, the analysis result is not significant(P> 0.05),and the conclusion is not of statistical significance. On the other hand, the negative performance variables of the “Belt and Road” and the “Belt and Road” identification have a very significant negative correlation(p <0.001).This shows that the higher the negative performance of the “Belt and Road”,the lower the level of recognition of the “Belt and Road” initiative among the Lao people.
