With the professional development of competitive sports and the approval of the undergraduate specialty of strength?conditioning training(SCT),the professional development of strength?conditioning coach(SCC)has become a key research content.A review of the literature found that the existing research paid more attention to what knowledge and skill structure should be used by SCC.Due to the mechanical nature of professional skills,it is difficult to acquire professional knowledge to fully carry the content of the professional development of SCC.The function of problem-solving is to ensure the smooth formation and implementation of practical concepts by individuals.Therefore,the practical ability has naturally become a substantial link in the professional development of SCC.The purpose of this doctoral dissertation is to explore the practical ability of SCC,and on this basis,put forward the development strategy of SCC,so as to provide a reference for improving the level of SCC practical ability,provide a theoretical basis for the selection and selection of qualified SCC,provide a necessary reference for future reform decisions of SCC management and strive to gradually promote the professional development of Chinese SCC from the theoretical concept to practical development.This doctoral dissertation employed the mixed method research design,to achieve integration of quantitative study and qualitative study.Taking the SCC practical ability as the research obj ect,the practical ability model of SCC was constructed based on the qualitative and quantitative research methods.In qualitative research,26 SCC experts were interviewed.Based on the grounded theory,the interview materials and text materials were arranged,and they were coded by Nvivo 11.0 software,and finally,the SCC practical ability model was constructed.In the quantitative research,according to the results of the qualitative research,a pre-test questionnaire and a formal questionnaire for the constituent elements of the SCC practical ability were prepared.Using the questionnaire survey method,406SCC and strength and conditioning training students were investigated,and after project analysis,exploratory factor analysis,and verification factor analysis,etc.,constructs an SCC practical structure model.Finally,through the mixed methods research,optimization and integration of the two models,the SCC practical ability model is formed.The main conclusions are as follows:1).SCC practical ability refers to the sum of those physical and psychological characteristics necessary to ensure that SCC can successfully use the existing knowledge and skills to solve practical problems of SCT.2).Based on the research of mixed method research,the final SCC practical ability model is optimized and integrated,including 4 dimensions(practice motivation,general practice ability,professional practice ability,and situational practice ability),12 fields(endogenous practice motivation,exogenous practice motivation,promotion of athlete development,organizational management and coordination,interpersonal communication,knowledge construction,training system construction,professional knowledge,professional skills,scientific research ability,analysis ability,innovation ability),36 standards,and 83 specific descriptions.3).In diploma education,self-actualization as the driving force,general practice ability as the base,professional practice ability as the core,and situational practice ability as the key development strategies;In vocational education,it is proposed to strengthen the construction of the professional development system for SCC,setting up the idea of SCC professional development and the creation of a continuing education system for SCC.
