The current technological innovation represented by artificial intelligence has brought unprecedented development opportunities to the world in terms of digitalization,networking and intelligence.It has brought new driving forces to the economic growth of all countries in the world and exerted a significant impact on the employment of workers.At the same time,the employment effect of technological innovation and its influence on economic growth have been the focus of academic circles.Combining different research backgrounds and methods,different conclusions obtained on this issue,which provides space for further research on this issue.Based on existing literature,theoretical analysis by constructing endogenous growth model conducted in this paper,technological innovation divided into new task creation and automation,and workers divided into high-skilled and low-skilled.The basic conditions of the model constructed under the static local equilibrium condition,and the dynamic general equilibrium analysis and the dynamic model analysis of endogenous technological innovation further carried out to analyze the mechanism of the employment effect of technological innovation on economic growth from a theoretical perspective.Based on the conclusion oftheoretical analysis,combined with relevant data of China’s industrial industry from 2007 to2016,stochastic frontier analysis method used to analyze the employment effects of two kinds of technological innovation on two types of workers.GMM estimation used to analyze the influencing factors of technological innovation.Panel vector autoregression used to analyze the effect of employment effect of technological innovation on economic growth.The research finds that: first,the creation effect of new task creation on labor employment is greater than the substitution effect of automation on labor employment.The effect of technological innovation on employment creation and substitution of low-skilled workers is greater than that of high-skilled workers.Second,high-skilled workers tended by China’s industrial technological innovation.There is a "Matthew effect" in employment between highskilled and low-skilled workers.Third,the employment effect of technological innovation influenced by the capital cost greatly and significantly.Fourth,in China’s industry,the economic growth promoted by the employment effect produced by the two kinds of technological innovation.In the long-term,the economic growth promoted by the employment creation effect brought by new task creation to high-skilled workers greatly.While the economic growth promoted by the employment substitution effect brought by automation to low-skilled workers greatly.Based on these,in order to further expand the employment effect of technological innovation and give full play to its positive effect on economic growth.Financial support for research and development should strengthened to improve the national independent innovation capacity.New drivers for the development of traditional agricultural and industrial industries should cultivated and high-quality employment should ensured for workers.The quality of regional education should improved and the equality of education among regions should realized.
