| Today’s world is in a critical period of innovation and development.The reform of education undertaking responsible for the cultivation of innovative talents has become the focus of the whole society.Driven by the comprehensive implementation of the new curriculum reform and new teaching materials and the continuous improvement of the course selection and shift system,China’s secondary education urgently needs to update the composition of main teaching buildings,the scale and quantity are seriously insufficient,the land boundary is difficult to expand,the spatial environment of school buildings has tended to be saturated,and the spatial carrying capacity needs to be further tapped,especially in the built-up areas of large and medium-sized cities,The mismatch and imbalance of basic education resources has become the focus of the contradiction of increasing the capacity and quality of the campus,which has seriously affected the education,teaching and life of teachers and students.It is urgent to establish an appropriate spatial environment index reference system to guide the design,application and engineering practice of the campus.Based on the theory of contemporary educational ideas,the research comprehensively uses the methods of pedagogy,sociology,computer science,architecture,planning and so on.Firstly,it combs the main process and changes of modern and contemporary educational development by benchmarking the stages of educational development in various countries: the first stage-the founding period;The second stage-standardization period;The third stage-promotion period;The fourth stage-diversified development period;The fifth stage is the exploration period,which is used as a reference to summarize the characteristics of each development stage corresponding to the current educational concept in China,and summarize the development trend of spatial environment adapting to the educational concept;Then,with the methods of field investigation and data statistics,focus on the spatial composition of adapting to the educational concept,select a certain number of representative examples,calculate the indicators around the spatial composition,area and quantity of school buildings on the basis of in-depth and detailed investigation and establishment of the database,put forward the key elements and calculation methods affecting the school building indicators,and establish the index reference system;Secondly,taking the urban built-up area(taking Xi’an as an example),which is a contradiction focus area in urgent need of capacity increase and quality improvement in campus space,as the design application object,combined with the analysis data and case research,this paper puts forward the capacity increase design method and content classification,discusses its impact on the indicators of middle school buildings,and puts forward the maximum intervention value of each design method on the school building index system from the two key parameters of plot ratio and per student building area,Finally,the calculation formula of the maximum plot ratio of middle school building construction is derived,so as to provide scientific reference and method guidance for campus renewal and transformation.The research results mainly include the following aspects: at the theoretical level,taking the educational development stages of various countries as the reference system,the pedigree of the reform and development of modern educational ideas around the world is established to provide theoretical support for the innovation of space composition;At the target level,based on a large number of research data and combined with mathematical analysis methods,a secondary school building index reference system adapted to the contemporary education concept is constructed,the single and linear data reference is adjusted to the elastic value range,and the functional houses are divided into required and optional.The school can supplement it according to its own school running characteristics,and match the appropriate index calculation method according to the calculation method and design conditions,On this basis,taking the suitability index system as a model,all data calculations are collected in the database in the implicit form of formula and the explicit form of data,so as to provide support for engineering practice;At the application level,on the basis of big data analysis and case research,and on the basis of analyzing cases and intelligently tapping the land potential,this paper puts forward the design method and evaluation criteria for the capacity increase of the space environment of middle school buildings,and establishes the capacity increase design method and its influence path on the school building index by means of mathematical calculus model,so as to provide a scientific reference for the renewal and transformation of the existing campus space environment.The author hopes that the above research ideas and conclusions will provide the coordinates of the historical changes under the support of educational ideas for the renewal and improvement of the existing middle school buildings in the urban built-up areas at the present stage;Under the new era,new situation and new demands,provide the content innovation of campus space composition,provide applicable index system reference and design method support for a large number of reconstruction,expansion and new schools,improve the quality and efficiency of education,and constantly promote the cultivation of
