With the continuous development of society, our country’s primary and secondary schooleducation are greatly changed both from the teaching object, teaching contents and teachingtarget while compared with the traditional education. The change of the way of education willinevitably bring about changes in the form of educational architecture. So the traditionalprimary and secondary schools will come across a lot of problems in the face of the new wayof education. Especially for the primary and secondary school campus in the city proper, as aresult of the development of the society, schools are faced with more and more seriousproblems. And as the promoting of quality education, some primary and secondary schoolsbuilt in the last century can’t meet the needs of the development of the teaching, so we need toupgrade the primary and secondary schools under the existing environment. Main content areas follows:Not enough attentions have been paid to the updating of primary and secondary schoolsin our country. So the study of the renewal principles and design methods of these schoolshave positive significance. This thesis takes primary and secondary schools campus andbuildings in urban built-up area as the main research object, and put forward the updatingstrategies of primary and secondary schools campus and buildings in the process of citydevelopment.Through the research, the primary and middle schools in our country are facing the mainproblems such as the campus land tension, the complex surroundings, the campus planning isnot reasonable, old school buildings, teaching supporting is not complete and so on. This paperconcludes that some primary and secondary schools have already can’t satisfy the requirementof quality education development. In view of the schools are faced with the problems, fromtwo aspects of the campus and buildings, the campus should be upgraded from big aspects tosmall aspects.For updating the campus as a whole, we need to take a gradual manner. Firstly, clear theupdate steps and the design principles, and on this basis. Optimize and the reshape the overallform of the campus by planning the campus on the existing basis, the replacement of the landbetween two campus, the combination of resource utilization can be optimized. Secondly, from the perspective of local campus, by the improvement of the entrance image, we cancreate a good campus environment for students.For individual buildings in the campus, mainly through the alteration of the inside spaceto optimize and reshape the use function of the building, to improve the quality of architecturalspace, to make the function space of the building rationalization to the largest extent to meetthe development requirements of the quality education. The21st century is an era of rapiddevelopment of science and technology, with the constant progress of science and technology,the development of new ideas, new materials, new technologies can bring about new change inthe primary and secondary school buildings. Therefore in the process of reform we shouldmake good use of new material, new technology, and take our efforts to implement theprinciples of sustainable development, form the interests of the students, update the teachingspace to make it comfortable and can meet the development of quality education at the sametime.The thesis comprises about65,000Chinese words,89illustrations and7diagrams.
