Research On The Renovation And Upgrading Of Old Primary And Secondary School Buildings In Haidian District,Beijing

Primary and secondary schools are an important part of China’s basic education and an important stage of children’s growth.Some basic outlook on life is formed in this stage.With the development of quality education in our country,scholars have made a lot of exploration and research on campus space to adapt to quality education.Most of the primary and secondary schools in Haidian District of Beijing have a history of several decades.Some of the school buildings have quality problems due to the age.The architectural image is almost the same,such as the old form of window opening,serious facade modeling,compact indoor teaching space and so on.The traditional campus space can no longer adapt to the constantly changing educational philosophy.With the development of The Times,the concept of quality-oriented education is constantly developing and deepening,and the design of campus buildings is more concerned about the feelings of the main users of the school--students.Students absorb everything in the environment.A good campus environment has a positive impact on promoting the development of students’ physical and mental health.At the same time,open education has been implemented in foreign countries for decades,open education and quality education have many similarities,we can learn from the experience of developed countries in the campus space reform.Based on the field investigation of 15 primary and secondary schools in Haidian District,this paper starts from four aspects of general layout planning,teaching space,outdoor communication space and campus architectural features,and summarizes the different characteristics in different periods and under different educational concepts.This paper discusses the changes of campus space in the process of transformation from exam-oriented education to quality-oriented education in China.According to the current situation of the campus space environment problem,combined with the development trend of the education idea,outstanding case of the reference at home and abroad to adapt to the current education concept from the optimization of students learning and life experience as the breakthrough point,put forward the renewal and transformation of primary and secondary school building strategies suitable for the education reform,and explore the promote education development and the feasibility for the construction of a period in the future.Finally,an excellent case of middle school reconstruction in China is used to empirically study the above strategies.This paper not only summarizes the development strategy of primary and secondary schools in Haidian District,but also provides corresponding ideas for the building reconstruction of primary and secondary schools in other areas.
