The development of China’s NEV battery industry is a system project,which is characterized by openness,complexity and systemic nature.In the current market economy,the development of new energy vehicle battery industry is constrained by multiple factors: such as high battery cost,slow performance improvement,and problems in environmental adaptability,resource recyclability and battery safety.The existence of these problems has made it difficult for China’s NEV battery industry to achieve a major breakthrough in terms of production cost,battery performance,market scale,recycling and other aspects.Especially in the face of resource constraints and lack of innovation,how to vigorously achieve the rapid development of China’s NEV battery industry and coordinate the influential elements such as capital,talent,policy,technology,resources and environment has become a problem that the government,enterprises,society and other subjects must consider.In addition to clarifying the elements affecting the development of China’s NEV battery industry,it is also necessary to clarify the mutual influence of the elements,coordinate the elements,power and synergy among each other,and form a mutually cooperative,synergistic and efficient power mechanism for industrial development.In this context,this study follows the research line of "development status-dynamics mechanism framework-industrial development factors-industrial development factors interaction--industrial development path optimization and case study",this study conducts a detailed research on the development mechanism of China’s NEV battery industry.The details are as follows.Firstly,from the perspective of the industry chain,we systematically analyze each link of "R&D-production-sales-use-recovery-recycling" in the development of new energy vehicle battery industry,and construct a framework of industrial development mechanism according to the logical idea of "power element-action mode-development result".This is also the basis of the whole article.(1)From the perspective of the industry chain,we systematically study each link of the new energy vehicle battery industry,such as "research and development-production-sales-use-recovery-recycling",and break through the limitations of single link research.(2)Based on the literature analysis,we identify the factors influencing the development of China’s NEV battery industry: four major factors from the micro perspective,including technological innovation,enterprise strategy,talent and capital;and three major factors from the macro perspective,including policy factors,market factors and resource environment.(3)Based on the classification of elements,we divide the industrial development dynamics-government policy dynamics,technological innovation dynamics,market demand dynamics,and recycling dynamics.(4)Based on the theory of circular economy,complex system and mechanism design,a mechanism framework for the development of China’s NEV battery industry is constructed according to the logic of "power factor-action mode-development result".Secondly,based on the root theory approach,we identify and explain the influencing factors of industrial development in depth,and use the explanatory structure modeling method to analyze the interaction between the factors of industrial development,which is also a combination of "qualitative research" and "quantitative research" for the dynamic mechanism.This is also the basis for combining "qualitative research" and "quantitative research" on the dynamics mechanism.(1)Using the root theory approach,we identify and explain the influencing factors of government policy dynamics,technological innovation dynamics,market demand dynamics and recycling dynamics.(2)Using the explanatory structure model,we can study the logical structure of the factors in a more systematic,hierarchical and structured way,analyze the correlation among the factors,and finally determine the mutual influence of the factors,which is a breakthrough from the limitation of "qualitative research" on the dynamics mechanism and lays a theoretical foundation for "quantitative research".This has laid a theoretical foundation for "quantitative research".Thirdly,based on the interaction of elements and factors,the system dynamics method is used to build a system model of the interaction of the elements of industrial development,and model simulation and multiple scenario simulation are conducted to break through the limitations of "qualitative" research on the dynamics mechanism and realize "quantitative research" on the dynamics mechanism of China’s NEV battery industry development.(1)Using the system dynamics method,the main causal feedback loops of the development system of China’s NEV battery industry are mapped,and a new model is constructed-the interaction model of new energy vehicle battery industry development factors.(2)The model equations and parameters are set according to the current situation of industrial development,and simulations and multi-scenario simulations are conducted.The results show that the development of China’s NEV battery industry is simultaneously influenced by the interaction of multiple factors and dynamics such as government policies,technological innovation,battery recycling and market supply and demand.Finally,combining the results of "qualitative analysis" and "quantitative analysis",four optimal development paths for the development of China’s NEV battery industry are proposed,and case studies and comparative analysis of BYD and Ningde Times are conducted based on the optimal development paths.(1)According to the framework of industrial development mechanism,the influence of factors and model simulation results,this study proposes four optimal development paths for the development of China’s NEV battery industry.That is,government policy-led,technology innovation-driven,market demand-driven and recycling-pulled.(2)BYD and CATL are used as research objects for case study and comparative analysis.Through the case studies,we will determine the role mechanism of each element,driving force and mutual influence in the development of the enterprises,and realize the role from "industry" to "enterprise",from "macro" to "micro",and from "industry" to "enterprise".The course provides a multi-perspective analysis from "industry" to "enterprise",from "macro" to "micro",and from "theory construction" to "application analysis".Through the full-text research,this study constructs a framework of the dynamic mechanism of the development of China’s NEV battery industry,identifies and explains the macro elements and micro elements that influence the development of the industry,uses the explanatory structural model and the system dynamics method,and studies the influence mechanisms of different elements and elements on the development of China’s NEV battery industry from a quantitative perspective,realizing the combination of "Qualitative Research" and "Quantitative Research",as well as proposing four optimal development paths for the future China NEV battery industry."Qualitative Research" and "Quantitative Research" are combined,and four optimized development paths for China’s future NEV battery industry are proposed.The study will improve the application of industrial development dynamics,circular economy,complex system and mechanism design theories,expand the application of system dynamics methods,and provide guidance for industrial innovation,green and low-carbon development practices.
