Research On The Emergence Mechanism Of College Social Service Ability Based On CAS

Ashby described the university organization as “the product of heredity and evolution.” Since the birth of the university,it has been constantly changing.The social service function of the university is the result of the university organization adapting to the evolution of social development.After entering the knowledge society,traditional knowledge production methods are rapidly iteratively updated,and the connection between knowledge activities and social needs has become increasingly close.As the spokesperson of "advanced knowledge",colleges and universities have been pushed to the axis of social life,and profound changes have taken place in adaptation.Today,in the broad field of social life,the cost of basic research and applied basic research in colleges and universities is huge and the value is more prominent.The pure curiosity drive has turned to an organized and planned promotion.The relationship between colleges and markets,colleges and governments,colleges and enterprises,and colleges and individuals is being redefined.The scientific and technological functions,cultural functions,and civilization construction functions of universities have become increasingly prominent.A new type of relationship between universities and society has been established,and universities have become the stars of the knowledge society.Undoubtedly,the development of colleges and universities has entered the best era.Although the social service of colleges and universities has received certain attention from the academic and practical circles of higher education since the beginning of this century,these concerns are mainly based on the research on the social service functions of colleges and universities.The research on the social service capabilities of colleges and universities also focuses on the external ability Objective performance.There is a lack of systematic research on the connotation and characteristics of the ability,the source and formation of the ability,and the evolution and operation of the ability.Therefore,the study of the connotation and evolution of the social service capabilities of colleges and universities has important theoretical value and practical significance.In order to uncover the emergence and evolutionary mechanism of the social service capabilities of colleges and universities,this article traces the origin(essence)of the history of social services of colleges and universities→CAS-based conceptual model of the system of college social service capabilities(connotation,operation,basic characteristics)→The three-dimensional analysis framework for the emergence of college society service capabilities→the specific dimensions of the emergence of social service capabilities of colleges and universities→the logical thinking of the emergence of college social service capabilities.First of all,this article reviews the higher education theory,public product theory,emergence theory,and complex adaptive system evolution theory,defines the essence,connotation,and basic characteristics of the social service capabilities of colleges and universities from the perspective of complex adaptive system theory.Based on the above analysis,this article proposes that the social service ability of colleges and universities is the emergent ability,and innovation is the external manifestation of emergence.Specifically,the social service capability of colleges and universities is the resources and technical advantages,which is the combination of teaching and scientific research.This ability should actively adapt to dynamic and complex environmental changes,actively respond to social needs,integrate,restructure,and optimize the resource structure and technical paradigm of universities based on organizational knowledge,and dynamically update capabilities in the process of aggregation,division,and evolution,to release overall organizational capabilities.Next,this article draws on the evolutionary thoughts of corporate strategic management and emerging thoughts in complex systems to construct a threedimensional analysis framework for the emergence of the overall capabilities of college social services from the three dimensions of “content,result,and surroundings ”.Then,this article elaborates on the emergence mechanism of the three dimensions in order.From a medium perspective of system operation,a SECI model of the knowledge evolution of the social service capability of colleges and universities is constructed based on the SECI model of knowledge evolution of medium thinking.Then,this article uses this model to analyze the different stages of university knowledge evolution,explains the knowledge scale effect of the evolution of university social service capabilities,and analyzes the scale emergence mechanism of the strategyoriented knowledge creation process.From the macro perspective of system operation,this article analyzes the dimensions and levels of the social service capacity of colleges and universities from the facts of objective performance,refine the structure of college social service capabilities,through the inductive analysis of the existing social service capacity measurement research.Based on the idea of co-evolution,this paper analyzes the trend and direction of the evolution of the structure of social service capabilities of colleges and universities according to contextual thinking,and explains the emergence mechanism of the structure of social service capabilities of colleges and universities.From the micro perspective of system operation,based on the idea of the emergence of platform-based complex adaptive system value,this article analyzes the collaborative effect of the social service capability system of colleges and universities from the perspective of the adaptive subject’s dynamic adaptation process,and proposes a stimulus-response model of the adaptive subject,explains the emergence mechanism of the value of the social service ability of colleges and universities.In summary,this article first proposes a conceptual model of the social service capability system of colleges and universities from the perspective of CAS theory.Then,from the three dimensions of content,result,and surroundings dimensions of the operation of the social service capability of colleges and universities,a threedimensional analysis framework for the emergence of social service capabilities of colleges and universities is constructed.This article uses this framework to explain the mechanism of scale emergence,structure emergence,value emergence and function of social service capabilities of colleges and universities in detail,and provide a theoretical basis for the subsequent scientific design of the evaluation index system of social service capabilities of colleges and universities,and provide a new way of thinking for the cultivation and construction of social service capabilities of colleges and universities.
