| Chinese traditional culture has a long history.Its soul and essence are Chinese traditional virtues.The traditional Chinese virtues,with values as the core and values education as the bridge and link,embody,inherit and extend the deepest spiritual pursuit of the Chinese nation and provide rich spiritual nourishment for its long-term and stable development.The multicultural coexistence created by the school of Confucian,Mohist,Taoist,Legalist and Logician in the Pre-Qin period enabled them to ponder and practice the education of values from their respective standpoints in the historical process of the formation of Chinese values and Chinese traditional virtues.At the same time,during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States period,the Pre-Qin philosophers showed the sense of highly historical responsibility in the face of great changes of China’s social,political,economic,cultural and other fields,challenged by “The collapse of etiquette and music”,the disorder of ethics,the collapse of traditional educational values,and the impact of the historical reality,as well as deeply reflected the values education and reconstructed the values with unremitting pursuit and efforts to open,shaping the lofty realm of Chinese spiritual pursuit without any precedent.In this process,the thinking and practice of Confucianism and Mohism on values,especially on the education of values,have a profound influence on later generations.The thought and practice of values education of them were the important driving force for Chinese values education to transform from the natural state to the state of self-consciousness.It was in the Pre-Qin period that the education of Chinese national values founded and shaped.In the Pre-Qin period,the representatives of Confucianism and Mohism always paid close attention to people’s spiritual world in their respective research fields.Their thoughts of values education not only collided with each other,but also absorbed and merged with each other,jointly constructing the Chinese values system,and shaping the Chinese values through values education,has affected the Chinese people’s spiritual pursuit,the mode of thinking and life style.The education of Confucian and Mohist values in the pre-qin period contained rich educational thoughts and practical resources of values.However,from the current academic research,the study of the pre-qin Confucian and Mohist values education needs to be carried out and deepened,and the comparative study of values education of two great schools needs to be discussed in depth.Based on this,this paper compares the educational values of Confucianism and Mohism in the pre-qin period,through the research methods of literature,history and comparison,etc.,on the origin and development of the educational thought of the two great schools in Confucianism and Mohism and its relationship with social change.This paper also makes a comparative analysis of evolution of each educational thoughts,as well as the similarities and differences of the educational goals,contents,principles and methods between them,then summarizes the basic characteristics,formation rule,historical influence and modern value of the pre-qin Confucian and Mohist values education.This research view and content also reflect the innovative significance of this paper.The practical and theoretical significance of this study lies in:First,it is conducive to provide rich historical resources for the implementation of the directive spirit of “Chinese should earnestly absorb the Jinping Second,it is beneficial to take history as a mirror,absorb the nourishment of the values education thought in the Chinese traditional culture,then provide reference for enriching the content of the socialism core values education and innovating the method of the values education.Third,it is helpful to provide rich historical material for the research of China’s values education theory,and
