| The educational virtual community provides a situational and social learning field that spans time and space for learning activities with its rich technological resource environment and complex social contexts within the context of community and has become an important component of the lifelong education system.The educational value and role of educational virtual communities are becoming increasingly prominent,especially in the context of the continuous fermentation of new hotspots in the development of educational informatization,such as the integration of virtual and real learning space,the new infrastructure construction of education,the educational metauniverse,and the digital transformation of education.However,there are many practical problems in the practice of educational virtual communities,such as learners’ weak learning motivation,shallow interaction,and low collaboration efficiency,which make it difficult to realize the potential value of educational virtual communities.Therefore,it is necessary to provide support for learners’community learning.In this context,this study focuses on the issue of "how to provide learning support for learners in educational virtual communities",and uses research methods such as literature review,quasi experimental research,questionnaire survey,and structural equation modeling to conduct theoretical and practical research.The main research work is as follows:Firstly,based on literature research,the concept of learning support in educational virtual communities is clarified.From the perspective of the evolution of related concepts,the primary meaning of educational virtual community is a community of relationships based on communication.It is believed that educational virtual community is an important component of the virtual reality integration learning space in the intelligent era,and an activity field where learners’ learning behaviors such as construction,collaboration,and observation coexist.With the integration and development of learners’ cognition,ability,and emotion as the value pursuit,this study proposes a"participation-regulation-creation" metaphor for educational virtual community learning,and analyzes the CICR characteristics of educational virtual community learning(i.e.constructive,interactive,collaborative,and regulatory).The essence of educational virtual community learning support is a teaching activity that guides,supports,and assists learners in community learning.Starting from the deserved pursuit of educational virtual community learning and the existing problems in reality,this thesis expounds the demand for educational virtual community learning support.The objectives of educational virtual community learning support are elaborated from the following aspects:promoting learners to master relevant knowledge and skills,cultivating and developing learners’ collaborative problem-solving abilities,improving learners’ metacognitive awareness and ability,and promoting the realization of emotional value goals in community learning.The relevant subjects of learning support in educational virtual communities are analyzed from the perspectives of teacher-centered facilitators groups and expanded(I-to-WE)learner groups.The conditions and prerequisites for learning support in educational virtual communities are analyzed from the perspectives of community technology,resources,and social contexts.Secondly,a content framework for learning support in educational virtual communities is proposed.Based on learning motivation theory,social cognitive theory,regulatory learning theory,and distributed cognitive theory,this thesis explores the key factors that affect the learning effectiveness of educational virtual communities.In the prerequisite stage of community learning,learning motivation,group quality,and community context are selected as key factors.In the process stage,based on the metaphors and characteristics of educational virtual community learning,two key factors,namely,community interaction and regulated learning,are selected,with learning effectiveness as the outcome factor.Based on the hypothesis of the relationship between the factors proposed by existing research,a questionnaire is designed.Based on the questionnaire data,structural equation modeling is used to verify whether the hypothesis of the relationship between factors is tenable.Based on this,an in-depth analysis is conducted and a content framework for learning support in educational virtual communities is proposed.Thirdly,a learning support model for educational virtual communities is conducted.This study follows the basic principles of people-centered,quality improvement,comprehensive development,and mutual promotion.Based on the content framework for learning support in educational virtual communities,and based on existing research results,the study constructs learning support at the prerequisite stage,process stage,and outcome stage,ultimately achieving the overall construction of the educational virtual community learning support model.Finally,the application practice of the learning support model for educational virtual communities is carried out.An 18-week quasi experimental study was conducted to design the application practice in terms of purpose,experimental hypothesis,object,tool,and process.By comparing and analyzing the data of learners’ academic level,interaction depth,group cohesion and collaborative performance,regulated learning,community atmosphere,and learning satisfaction in the experimental and control classes,the application effect of the educational virtual community learning support model was verified.In the process of theoretical construction and practical exploration mentioned above,this study has formed the following conclusions:(1)Educational virtual community learning support is essentially a teaching activity that guides,supports,and helps learners learn in community;(2)Community learning for learners is a complex process involving multidimensional factors and their interactions,which requires support;(3)Educational virtual community learning support includes the promotion and improvement of learning motivation,learning groups,learners’ knowledge structure,community interaction and collaboration,regulated learning,and community contexts;(4)The application of educational virtual community learning support model can significantly promote community learning.The innovations of this study are embodied in the three aspects.Firstly,the study proposes the"participation-regulation-creation" metaphor of educational virtual community learning,and reexamines the essence of educational virtual community learning from a relational perspective.Secondly,the model of educational virtual community learning support has been constructed to improve the limitations of previous empirical discussions on community learning support,deepen the understanding of the inherent nature and laws of community learning support,and innovate the thinking of research on learning support.Finally,based on the educational virtual community learning support model,the application practice is carried out,and the design and implementation of learning support are innovative in terms of the entire process of community learning and various key factors.The findings and conclusions of this study deepen the understanding of the intrinsic nature and relevant laws of learning and learning support in educational virtual communities and provide theoretical basis and practical reference for the practice of learning support in educational virtual communities. |
