The internet becomes one of the most crucial methods to get information by the rapid development of IT and internet technology. The management of internet information becomes more and more difficult due to the large source quantities. The searches and descriptions of the sources are the key point in the foregoing issues. Nowadays, the search engines mainly based on two methods to accomplish their functions: 1.to search by titles; 2. to search by whole articles. However, it is not available to guarantee the integrity and precision of the results. Therefore, to fully bring the internet in to play, we need not only a higher processing speed and bandwidth, but also a more reactive system which is more suitable for communications, in order to remove the barriers between different languages and operating systems. Further more, it is necessary to use a more visualized approach to present the data in order to carry more clearly information and to offer suitable deals.The study and the use of Ontology in information searching realm began on the late 20th century and early 21st century. An Ontology contribution method, discussed by Vipul, is used to search information. Americans contribute the users'Ontology to composite the results; Nenad and Ljiljana (Germany) propose an optimized searching method which is based on the logic using in information searching system. Wen tao Cai who is from China submits an address extraction method; Sang Ok Koo(Korean) argues a semi-automatic ontology creation approach, which can be used in the titles; Torsten(Germany) proposes a ontology integration method to analyze and process the information.Ontology can be used in several areas, which is known as realm ontology, such as: industry ontology,biology ontology, agriculture ontology. Industry ontology supports the enterprises by presenting analysis management and modeling in hash business environment; Biology ontology can illustrate the ideas in biology area, the key is terms glossary and their relationships. It also forms the structures relying on the concepts and presents the interrelationships between concepts in different levels. Consequently, misinterpretations can be decreased and problems of grammar diversities can be solved. Dr. Lee bring forward the research of flower ontology structure model, which organizes the knowledge system of flower by ontology methods and technologies; develops the literature experimental ontology searching system, and test the misinterpretation decreasing function and discussion searching function of the above-mentioned system.To import the concept of ontology into library information area is necessary: first of all, the subject investigator changed from traditional library to digital library, so the development of IT technology is necessary. Better management can be offered of knowledge based on the taxonomy and topicology, to increase the ability of knowledge service. Secondly, ontology which has new topic higher starting point, and long history, is highly advanced and potential. In the era of knowledge economy, it is vital to increase the ability of knowledge management in library information area. At the same time, ontology and the relative techniques are also important technology for the study of digital library. At the last, with the assistance of Protégé-2000, zoology is utilized as examples to contribute the animal Ontology model. In this paper, the ontology is used in the practical researching areas. The applicability of ontology structure building method has demonstrated and a model that described by nature language was built.Steps:(1)The concept of Aves ontology modelFirst, combination of varies other realms related to the Aves study, such as: cytology, genetics, morphology, physiology, biochemistry, biophysics, bionomics, and areas divisions, is discussed. After that, regarding to the current ontology, the literatures and periodicals related to the Aves and bird section in Taxology in China Library (edition IV) are studied, in order to fix on the concepts of birds.(2)Definition of relationship between classesBased on the above two sections, the classification of Aves study relies on the topics and category index in the Chinese Topic Glossary. Adding to the definitions of the birds and classification of Aves, classes of the birds ontology can be described finally.(3)Definition of property of classesFor the studies of Aves, the main properties in the research include appellation property, configuration property, physics property, distribution property, classification property, economics property, etc.(4)Example establishment.
