Metal cutting is one of the main processing methods and the important processing technologies in modern industrial production and material preparation. There are currently Wire cutting, Gas cutting,Laser cutting and a variety of other conventional and special metal cutting equipments on the market,but those equipments have poor cutting accuracy and surface quality, heat deformation of the workpiece,equipment cost does not match process requirements and other questions. Especially in large thick metal wire cutting,incision prone to tilt. All of the factors constrain the further development and applications of metal cutting technology. In this paper, based on the principle of electrochemical machining, combined with modern CNC technology, we proposed a new method of metal cutting——Metal Electrochemical Fast Wire cutting technology. This paper carried out basic research by theoretical analysis and experimental technique on it,and achieved research results in the following aspects:(1)Based on the combination between electrochemical processing technology and modern CNC technology, this paper proposed a new method of metal cutting which is based on the lever of plasma——Metal Electrochemical Fast Wire cutting technology, which enriched metal cutting methods.(2)This paper analysed the basic theory and cutting model of Metal Electrochemical Fast Wire cutting technology, which Provided theory guidance and the basis for Experimental study.(3)This paper analysed technology characteristics of Metal Electrochemical Fast Wire cutting technology as well as its technological equipment for the special work environment, designed and produced successfully the processing systems,which provided good test platform for following experimental study.(4)This paper carried out the experimental study of process for Metal Electrochemical Fast Wire cutting technology. By the experiment of Metal Electrochemical Fast Wire cutting,it made a comprehensive analysis of electrolyte configuration, load voltage, the cathode feed rate and other processing parameters on the influence of the metal cutting width, cutting speed, the actual current efficiency. It effectively enhanched the rate of metal cutting, the quality of processing surface, under the premise of ensuring the quality of metal cutting,and ultimately determined the optimization parameters of metal cutting experiment.(5)This paper carried out basic applied research for Metal Electrochemical Fast Wire cutting technology. According to process optimization parameters of previous experimental studies, it carried out straight line, curve and other metal profile processing. During the experiment, we continuously made analysis and improvement of the experimental results, which effectively improved the metal cutting rates and cut surface quality. At last, the metal work piece to be cut neatly, even size, good degree of vertical incision, which proved that the Metal Wire cut Electrochemical technology is feasible.(6)According to the characteristics of Metal Electrochemical Fast Wire cutting technology, the process defects and the lack of its equipment were analyzed and discussed, and the corresponding improved method were proposed.Metal Electrochemical Fast Wire cutting technology fully reflected the good quality, wide processing range, high productivity and other advantages of electrochemical machining, enriched and developed the methods of metal cutting.
