| The fact that fabrics' performances are designed in term of experience is not changed until now. In order to meet the technical reality of mills and market demand for textile with high quality, an original software (WFCAD1.0) had been programmed by Xuelian He, a graduate. This software achieved good effect in practice for two reasons. One was that a lot of useful but complicated designs could trust with computer, another was fabrics' performances could be designed according to the parameters of fabrics instead of depending on people's experience. However, this software can't agree with some requirement of practice. To make this software used widely, two things have been done: firstly, some existed functions were revised; secondly, some new functions such as design of filament fabric were added. This paper will emphasize on a software perfecting the functions of fabrics' performance designing on the basis of the achievement of theory and practice.Advises coming from the customers to the original software and our analyzing to the software suggested that only maintaining the existed software couldn't solve the practice's problems. It's more available to develop a new software using only one or two modules of the existed. Considered more kinds of materials applied and yarn designing included not only single-yarn and compound yarn but also more complicated yarns, several technical measures were adopted as following.(1) As for fabric designing, it was considered as a whole in one window. The designing parameters divided into three groups (raw material designing, yarn designing and fabric designing) by TabStrip were set as three Tab options. Then the needed windows such as material designing, yarn designing will be presented with clicking the buttons. What has been done not only overcomes those shortcomings such as toomany windows, layers' disorder, but also is helpful to add the database of Access and save all the designed information into the database. The data existed in the database or designed can be used in the related designing windows by two ways. One is that the data in windows is changed responding to the change of database linked by data control and corresponding fields. Another way is that the data in the database is recorded to arrays, and then arrays are referred to the corresponding data control. Then the software can meet the designing demand with a little revision, and overcome the inconvenience brought by the existed software that can't save designed parameters.(2) As for the part of prediction and calculation, compared with the existed software, the advantages of this software are obvious: contents more comprehensive, operation more convenient and layout more reasonable. For instance, some buttons show gray in some cases in term of the requirement so that improper operations are avoided, and the needed predictive equations are selected responding to the type of fabric designed.(3) As for the output, the summary was rearranged that makes the printed result showed clearly on the paper with A4 size, and also the content is more comprehensive than before.(4) The software can be easily used with the help of some useful modules such as tool module, expert system on the formability, and the detailed information of the guide.(5) Based on the relation of the data, the same logistic was separated, and then the related database of one to more, one to one was set up. For example, when materials are designed, similar data was respectively saved as a different record. That is, the designing information of every kind of material is taken as one record so that great memory space is saved.(6) During the process of programme, a great number of control arrays and variable arrays are used, together by combining the subscripts of the element of arrays with circle sentences, and connecting control arrays with variable (or variable arrays), which make the programme brief and efficient, make the structure clear, easily understandable and easy to maintain. |
