Research On The Classification Status And Countermeasures Of Municipal Solid Waste In Chongqing

Classification of solid waste has an important link in the domestic solid waste management system and a decisive influence on the system of cost management, manpower and resources. Solid waste classification, been widely used in foreign countries, can improve resource utilization efficiency, reduces subsequent disposal cost and the processing difficulty. On behalf of the development direction in the future, it is also have been explored and piloted in many cities of China recently years. Combined with the specific characteristics of Chongqing solid waste classification and solid waste at present, make out five schemes including the hazardous waste and other waste classification, recyclable waste, unrecyclable waste and hazardous waste classification, waste paper, waste glass, waste plastic, scrap metal, other waste and hazardous waste classification, recyclable waste, perishable waste, other waste and hazardous waste classification, recyclable waste, perishable waste, combustible waste, other waste and hazardous waste classification. And the paper also made a questionnaire survey to understand the public awareness of environmental protection and the municipal solid waste classification opinions and acceptance.
