| Recently, with the development of TCM preparations, the application of droppills has been paid more and more attention and become a promising TCM preparations. Compared with traditional dosage forms, droppills features larger superficial area, faster soluble speed, accurater dosage, easier absorption and more convenient for being taken. The capsule and tablet made from Folium syringae have been approved since 1983.They have exact curative effects and have been used widely in clinic. Likening droppills is a type of modern TCM preparations extracted from Folium syringae and dripped through scientific method, It has marked antiseptic and antiviral curative effects.We have established the best extract condition, alcohol deposition process by orthogonal experiment design. The active principles were gathered and purified through Macroporous adsorbing resins. Droppills was made by solid dispersion technics with the bases of PEG4000 and methyl siliconoil as refrigerant, which has established the optimum moulding technics. It conforms to the standard of the Chinese pharmacopoeia as well as the high output rate of droppills has been attained. The experiment has adopted the TLC approach to take the quality research .Meanwhile we have adopted the colorimetric methods and HPLC methods to carry out the quantity analysis of the droppills , acquiring the result by measuring the content of total phenol and syringpicroside we can control the quality of Likening droppills effectively.Thereby, this experiment provides scientific basis for production, the standardization of herbs and preparations were established.
