| This article introduced the automation system of Shengli Chengdao offshore oil field and the appliction of programble logic controller in the system, expounded the content, function, used advanced teclmology and the acquired effect of the automation system used in offshore oil extraction platform, introduced the reason of choose model, hardware configuration,the function of all parts, particularly introduced the program compile and the realize of all kinds of functions. In the end, the article analyzed the applied effect and the important function of this technology for ocean environment and safe production. It offered relatively succeed example for more use of programble logic controller in offshore oil field of our country.
