Pigment printing is the printing method that makes pigment adhere to fabric with binder. Binder plays an important role in the pigment printing. Great problems of domestic pigment printing binders are hard handle and low fastness. So far, the high quality products still need a mass of importation. To solve these problems, in this paper, silicone oil modified acrylic emulsions were synthesized and the pigment printing products were prepared. The research of this paper can offer reference for yield and application in industry. In this paper, three kinds of ways of silicone oil modified acrylic emulsion were studied and the influence of various factors on capability of emulsions and products was discussed. Results were as follows: (1) For the synthesis of acrylic emulsion, the following were optimal technology conditions: glass temperature (Tg) -22~-26℃, crosslinked monomer 7.0%, emulsifier 3.0%, initiator 0.6%,reactive temperature 80℃,reaction time 120 min, retention time 45 min, pH 5~6,baking process 140℃×5min.The defect of this product was conglutination. When aminosilicone oil dosage was 8.0~10.0%, the product of mixture of acrylic emulsion and aminosilicone oil had the capability of soft handle, good elasticity, good fastness and low conglutination. (2) The research of copolymer of acrylate and silicone oil: hydricsilicone oil or hydroxysilicone oil or vinylsilicone oil modified acrylic emulsion was discussed and compared. The superior properties of hydricsilicone oil modified acrylic emulsion were obtained ,when hydricsilicone oil and emulsifier account for 10.0% and 3.0% respectively, and baking process were 140℃×5min. (3) For the synthesis of aminosilicone oil modified core/shell emulsion ,the results were as follows: core/shell 1.7/1, core of Tg -30℃,shell of Tg 0℃,emulsifier 3.5%,crosslinked monomer 5.0~7.0%, aminosilicone oil 5.0%,vinylsilicone oil 0.0~3.0%,stirring rate 280 r/min,baking process 130℃×5 min.The general capability of this product was a little worse than one of the mixture product. In this paper, the above three polymers were analyzed by IR spectras, the IR spectras showed relevant characteristic peaks. The aminosilicone oil modified core/shell polymer was observed with TEM and detected with DSC.The TEM show the unobvious core–shell structure and the particle average diameter was 100 nm; Tg of the polymer had only one with DSC.
