This paper is about partial work supported by the key laboratory for greenchemical technology and new reactor in Hubei province. It includes measurementof physical properties related to the process of synthesizing carbonic esters. The density and viscosity were measured by a vibrating densimeter(modelDA-505U) and a Ubbelohde suspended-level viscometer at atmospheric pressurefor DMC + methanol, DMC + chlorobenzene, methanol + chlorobenzene, DMC +n-hexane, DMC + n-heptane, DMC + isooctane, diethyl carbonate(DEC) + ethanol.The excess molar volumes(VE )and deviations of viscosity(?η)were calculated.The VE and ?η were fitted by Redlich-Kister equation respectively.At high pressure, the density and viscosity for pure substances of DMC andmethanol were measured by vibrating-wire viscometer in different temperaturerange. The data of binary mixture of DMC and methanol at different compositionswere also measured. Density and viscosity were correlated to temperature.Concerning the process of productive technology of DMC and DEC,methanol, DMC, ethanol, DEC, methanol + DMC and ethanol + DEC wereselected as solvents respectively, the solubilities of carbon monoxide and oxygenin these different kinds of mixed solvents at high pressures were measured by a setof experiment apparatus for measuring gas solubility under high pressuressystematically.The PRSV EOS coupled with two different mixing rules were adopted tocalculate the ternary GLE data carbon monoxide-methanol-DMC polar systemsunder high pressures by correlation. And the modified theory based on the EOScombined with associated theory were used to calculate the experimental data. Thecalculation results of the two mixing rules based on the PRSV EOS show that thecalculation precision is similar. And when the associated theory is used to EOS,the precision of calculation is improved greatly.
