The Theory and Practice of Environment Education in High VocationalCollege Chemistry TeachingWith the greater progress of science and technology and rapiddevelopment of productivity, there is no denying that the livingconditions of human beings nowadays are superior to any other time inhistory, but along with which unprecedented crises and threats to theenvironment also arise one after another, such as air pollution,greenhouse effect, growing hole of ozone layer and fast growth of theworld population etc. The settlement of all these issues, involved withthe environmental protection, must be paid sufficient attention to forhuman existence and social further development, and meanwhile it isnecessary to prevent the reoccurrence of similar problems.Stepping into 21st century, environment issue has grown into thenumber one obstacle for human progress. And thus it is up to every personin the globe to protect the environment living in. Since graduates fromhigh vocational colleges as the most important part of worker force willexert direct influence on environmental protection, they will grow tobe important force for controlling pollution and bettering environmentcondition in the future. As a result, environmental education must beactively advocated in the course of chemical teaching in high vocationalcolleges so as to help students learn more about environmental protection,intensify the sense of their obligation and enhance their skills.Obviously, Chemistry teachers in high vocational college shouldinsist on putting education of environmental protection into theirclasses and meanwhile study and research for more scientific methods tofulfill the effective combination of chemistry teaching and environmenteducation. In a word, chemistry teaching is inseparable with environmenteducation.The paper is intended to explore the scientific and effectivecontents and methods in penetrating environmental education intochemistry teaching in high professional colleges, and provide feasibleguides and beneficial experiences for research of environment educationin high professional colleges. It falls into five chapters:Chapter One "Raising Problems and Establishment of ResearchDirection." This part briefly covers the definition of environmenteducation, its research trend at home and abroad and the necessities ofpenetrating environment education into chemical teaching in highvocational colleges.Chapter Two "the Contents of Penetrating Environmental Educationinto Chemistry teaching." By the survey on environment consciousnessamong students, know about their knowledge about environment protection,and then find out the combinative point between teaching materials andenvironment education and offer methods of penetrating environmentaleducation.Chapter Three " Implementation of Penetrating EnvironmentalEducation into Chemistry Teaching in High Vocational Colleges." Fromthree aspects----in-class theory teaching, experimental teaching andextracurricular activities, the part mainly discusses the suitablemethods of penetrating environmental education into chemistry teachingin high vocational setting and put some methods into practice.Chapter Four " Implementation result." Through reinquiry ofenvironmental awareness and statistics on chemical examinations, theeffect of penetrating environmental education into chemistry teaching,tested and analyzed, shows that the adopted method of teaching isfeasible. In practice, it is beneficial to enhance the awareness ofstudents, whip up their interests in learning, improve their grade inchemistry, and meanwhile widen their horizon, reinforce the sense oftheir social duties and thus improve comprehensive quality.Chapter Five "Consideration of Penetrating Environmental Educationinto Chemistry Teaching." Based on the questions and puzzles in teachingwork, the author put forth several suggestions on how to carry outenvironment education in high vocational colleges and hope it is helpfulto promote the cause of environmental protection.
