With developing of high speed cutting technology, high speed turning and milling technology has been developing greatly and has become a sort of advanced manufacturing technology since 1990.Nowadays, it incamates that high speed cutting heads for "high speed + high precision ". Cutting tool engineering benefits developing of high speed cutting technology, Therefor, are not only cutting tool technology, but also technologies of relating to cutting tool, including toolholder /cutting tool interface system, spindle/ toolholder interface system and dynamic performance of cutting tool system brought forward by us in high speed cutting fields.As to these problems,the researches as follows are done by me in this subject.Firstly, The prime reasons of vibration produced by high speed tool system when it is cutting are detailed and analyzed in theory. The main methods to control and decrease the vibration are presented such as additional mass technics. Performance of spindle/toolholder interface system produced by effect of centrifugal force at high rotational speed is analyzed by elastic - plastic theory, at the time, relation between interference and disentwining angle velocity when toolholder is installed in the spindle, between exterior diameter of spindle and inner diameter of toolholder, and between interface clearance and interference after spindle/toolholder interface system is expanded under effect of centrifugal force, all of them are brought forward .Secondly, The effects of statics and dynamics, stress field and amount of deformation forcing on cutting tool system characteristics are analyzed with the advanced nonlinear FEM technology. And combining modal analysis, dependability of high speed cutting tool technologies are also researched, which brings forward wholesome advices for rational constructional design of tool system at high speed rotating.Thirdly, mode of tool system are analyzed with the advanced nonlinear FEM technology and natural vibration frequencies are calculated. Modal analysis not only offers a good ways which can calculate natural vibration frequencies, but also brings forward wholesome advices for researching vibration of high speed cutting system.At last, dynamic balancing technologes and toolholder of avoiding vibration are introduced on the grounds of the results.
