The paper, with a special reference to chaeryan small karst basin in the demonstration area of Huajiang in Guizhou, selects the representative ecosystem with different rocky desertification ranks as the object on basis of drawing and investigating small plots and sets up twelve fixed monitoring samples. On this basis, data are collected by monitoring the samples before monsoon (April), in monsoon (September) and after monsoon (December) at eight, fourteen and eighteen o'clock of every day.The paper, by means of consulting date, ecological experiment and dynamic orientation monitor, investigates and monitors the dynamic course of productivity of stands, biodiversity, microclimate, physical and chemical characteristics of soil ecosystem in karst rocky desertification, and by means of combining space with time, microcosmic with macroscopical, and mathematical theory, quantitatively analyzes and appraises functional effects in course of ecological restoration. This paper mainly includes the contents as follows: (1) the study on characteristics of ecological system with different rocky desertification ranks; (2) the dynamic comparison of ecosystem structure and function under different rocky desertification ranks; (3) the appraisal to ecological effects of comprehensive control under different rocky desertification...
