The southwest of China is the biggest and the most consecutive karst areas in the world. Because of population pressure and unreasonable economic activities, the fragile eco-environment is severely out of balance and the eco-economy is in a vicious circle, which blocks the development of society and economy in the southwest of China. A series of comprehensive eco-environment restoration in karst areas have been developed and some progress has been achieved. But how is the result about the restoration? It needs a scientific evaluation. So it is significant for decision-making and execution of eco-environment restoration project to establish a set of complete, reasonable, scientific comprehensive method and system on benefits evaluation of eco-environment restoration project in karst areas.This paper applies theories and methods of the benefit evaluation home and abroad to eco-environment restoration project in karst area, with sustainable development theory as the guidance and on the basis of theories of sociology, economics, ecology, social statistics, comprehensive evaluation and by means of analytic hierarchy process, effect coefficient method, quantity average method and fuzzy fixed value method.This paper includes these contents and results:1)It is first time to establish a set of comprehensive evaluation indexes system of eco-environment restoration in karst areas, which contains 31 indexes from 4 categories. The system reflects effects of economy, society and eco-environment brought in by the execution of eco-environment restoration.2)It establishes the comprehensive evaluation method of eco-environment restoration in karst areas. On the basis of Analytic Hierarchy Process and Expert Consultation, this paper works out the weights of each index and subsystem, then adds the weights to evaluate comprehensively the project in karst areas, and ranks the evaluation result, which makes the evaluation results straightforward.3)In course of evaluation, this paper analyzes the whole and single benefits respectively, ascertains their values and trend of rank change, and discusses the relationships of the single benefit and others, the single benefit and the whole, in order to make the evaluation more objectively and accurately.
