With the increasing of the demand of high precise product in the Die & mould industry and manufacturing of aviation & astronavigation, the demand of WEDM-LS is increasing in domestic market. By now the WEDM-LS in domestic market is mostly by import, or the factories in China set up by the foreign companies produce and sell them. The companies in China that produce WEDM-LS is very less, just as Suzhou Sanguang Science & Technology Co.,Ltd. Suzhou Electmachining Machine Tool Research Institute.In the background of this, we work with Hangzhou Machine Tool Group Co. Ltd. to exploit WEDM-LS. Its control system adopts the structure pattern of PC plus Motion Control Card, the software design adopts the object-oriented program design language C++, uses VC++ to complete user interface development. Some further researches in the paper have been done as follows:1.According to the function demand of WEDM-LS, the hardware structure of the control system has been established, and motion control card and I/O interface card is selected rationally, at the meantime the AC Servo System of Panasonic is selected as machine tool servo feeding system, the connection to motion control card and debug is realized;2.The control system software has been designed as a whole, and the system task is divided rationally, the multi-task processing in parallel of the control system is completed by using Windows multiple thread mechanism.Thread adopts global variable to communicate and event object to synchronization, each thread works together to realize the control system functions;3.Based on the control system internal data flow, lexical & syntax check and decoding of NC machining code is realized. The system adopts double linked list to store the machining information after decoding, according to each node machining information of double linked list, calls the built-in functions of the motion control card, realizes locus control of the workpiece;4. Monitor thread scans I/O port of the motion control card and I/O interface card, and monitors the input signal of operation panel and manual control panel, at the meantime the discharging state is detected periodically by the multimedia timer, so that the servo feeding control of the machine tool is realized;...
