Inhalable particulates PM10 do great harm to the human health, among which the fine particulates PM2.5 are more harmful because they are easy to enter the human cell. The pollution state of atmospheric particulates in Shanxi Province has been quite serious, however its monitored data is insufficient relatively. In order to understand the air pollution here deeply, with new portable instruments, a series of measurements on the concentration of inhalable particulates of some areas in Shanxi Province were carried out and the pollution reasons were analysed, then some preliminary conlusions were drawn in this paper.The experiment consists of 5 parts: indoor and outdoor monitoring of a common office; study on the traffic road; monitoring of the roasting spot, monitoring in three cities of Taiyuan, Datong and Linfen, and monitoring of three households using different fuels in a village-in-town in Taiyuan.Analyses of the date showed that: 1) indoor and outdoor particulates concentration of the office was over the national standard heavily, the...
