The pressure air cooler is a kind of heat-change device which is used to cool natural gas, emerged gas in oil stabilization etc. The purpose of humidification is to decrease the temperature of cooled air and so the influence of temperature of environment to natural gas in air cooling is avoided. And the natural gas at the exit of pressure air cooler could achieve the demand of the technique. The recovery of light hydrocarbon and the hydrocarbon in gas could be increased and the parameters of the system also could be steady.The factors of affecting the effect of heat transfer and method of intensifying heat transfer for pressure air cooler were studied. The excellent scheme was that the method of high-pressure spray humidification was chosen for E0103 and the method of forepart-exit- saturation-stair humidification was chosen for E0104 through comparing various methods of humidification.The influence of compressor between E0103 and E0104 to humidification was analyzed theoretically. The results showed that the temperature difference of the first step will not be decreased by the process of compression, and the work of compression could be decreased by reducing of temperature at the outlet because of sprinkler for E0103.The flow diagram of spray water, structure of sprayer, installation and disposal of sprayer and automation of humidification were designed through computing and analysis in theory. The humidified experiments were made on pressure air coolers of E0103 and E0104. The results proved that the humidification techniques could decreased the temperature of pressure air cooler by 5.1℃in summery; the degree of refrigeration could be increased by 2~3℃; the average light hydrocarbon recovery was increased by 0.14 t/10~4Nm~3 ; light hydrocarbon could be recovered more than 430t. The purpose of increasing light hydrocarbon recovery, stabilizing parameters of the system and increasing the regular ratio of refrigeration was achieved. And the technology was quite useful to be generalized.
