The visualization of 3D terrain has become the front line of technique and the hotspot in current GIS, which core technology is the establishment of real 3D geoscience model and the disposal of visualization. The home and overseas scholars have already carried on the extensive research for 3D geoscience model, and obtained the certain production. However, seldom has researched on 3D geological-entity of the mine, especially on the analyse of 3D geological-entity in the mine. This article take mine as the object of research, the concrete research is as follows:First, propose a hybrid 3D spatial data model based on multi-DEMs and quasi tri-prism volume for the geological-entity of mine according to the research of the current 3D data model.Second, discuss the visualization technology of 3D geological modeling and the theory of 3D spatial analysis, then put forward a development method of 3D system based on OpenGL and ArcObjects components.Finally, establish 3D geological model of mine based on multi-DEMs and quasi tri-prism volume, and realize the functions of 3D interactive browse, section analysis, attribute query ,volume calculation,3D spatial analysis etc.
