Schiff base complexes containing sulfur and complexes of amino acid Schiff base have become the topic of intensive research in recent years due to their bio-activities, such as antiviral, anticancer and antibacterial activities, and catalytic-activities. Taurine, a non-protein amino acid containing sulfur, is indispensable to human beings and animals. It has been widely used in medicine, food and chemical industry because of its'unique medical and physiological effects, however, there are few papers reported its'Schiff base transition metal complexes. In order to systematically research the coordination chemistry of sulfoacid and find out some laws, we choose the taurine -2- carboxaldehyde Schiff base (TPCSB) as our research subject. In the research process of this paper, eight transition metal complexes of TPCSB were synthesized and their crystal structures were obtained. They are [Cu(TPCSB)(H2O)]2.2ClO4(Ⅰ), [Ni(TPCSB)(H2O)3].H2O.ClO4(II),[Ni2(TPCSB)2(N3)2(H2O)2].2H2O(Ⅲ),[Zn2(TPCSB)2(N3)2(H2O)2].2H2O(Ⅳ),[Cu2(TPCSB)2(N3)2]n(Ⅴ) ,[Cu(TPCSB)(Cl)]2(Ⅵ) ,[Mn(TPCSB)(Phen)]2.2ClO4(VII) and [Cu(TPCSB)(C7H6O4) ].2H2O (VIII).1.The reaction of TPCSB and Cu(ClO4).6H2O in presence of methanol/water solution give complex(I). The crystal structure of the complex [Cu(TPCSB)(H2O)]2.2ClO4 (Ⅰ) belongs to monoclinic, space groupP2(1)/c with unit cell parameter: a=24.563(2)A,b=9.0863(6)A, c=13.0990(10)A;β=111.775(3)o; V=2714.9(4)A3. Three O and two N atoms complete the central CuII ion cooridination sphere, resulting to an octahedral configuration structure. The two central copper atoms adopt identical coordination fashions and centrosymmetry. The molecule of complex is a netrual and linked via H-bonding interaction, giving rise to an infinite zizag structure. The antibaterical activities test shows that the complex strongly inhibit the growth of staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus haemolyticus, Pneumococcus, E. coli.2.The complex [Ni(TPCSB)(H2O)3].H2O.ClO4 (Ⅱ) was synthesized by soultion method...
