Study On The Cluster Development Of Bio-medicine Industry In Western Areas

Bio-medicine industry which is reputed as "the rising sun" is one of the most potential high-tech industries in development and the warmest competitive internationally in 21st century, and it has been held out as the strategic industry by most of the countries both here and abroad .Industrial cluster has become one of the most important phenomena in the present economic world. Industrial cluster in Bio-medicine industry has been becoming more and more fiercely. Practice proves that industrial cluster in bio-medicine industry is the effective approach to enhance regional economical competition. In resent years, bio-medicine industry in western areas in our country has manifested more and more development characteristics of industrial cluster and intrinsic demands. This article applies the industrial cluster theory that is the branch of the modern industrial economics researches analyses this important industry in western areas expecting to elicit some beneficial results and provide some theories and practical basses for the development of bio-medicine industry and the improvement of competition in western areas.Firstly, this article analyses the development background of bio-medicine industry in western areas; and then establishes index system to computes the degree of industrial cluster and the classification state with the software SPSS 12.0. After that there is an analysis of the industrial cluster in western areas and the result is that there exits industrial cluster not only in theory but also in practice. Therefore, western areas should develop with applying the thought of cultivating industrial clusters. At the same time, the cultivation doesn't rely on attracts or supports of the policies, but analyses the key factors and the environmental factors with systematic ideas and consequently speeds the development of bio-medicine industry and regional economy.
