The chemistry of organic-inorganic coordination polymers has recently become area of increasing interest. Self-assembly of organic ligands and inorganic metal ions is one of the most efficient and widely used approaches for the construction of organic-inorganic composite materials. In this dissertation, a series of new symmetry, asymmetry schiff-base ligands and urea ligands with various metals were studied; totally 16 new coordination polymers and supramolecular complexes were synthesized and elucidated by a number of analytical techniques, such as IR, H NMR, elemental analysis, TGA, powder and single-crystal X-ray diffraction; the luminescent properties of the representatives were studied.The design of new fluorescent probes is very important in analytical chemistry, clinical biochemistry, medicine and environmental science. Here, four 1, 2, 4 - Triazole - Bridging Ligands have been synthesized as new pH fluorescent probes and their properties have been also discussed.1. The coordination chemistry of Schiff-base ligands and transition metalsReactions of novel symmetry, asymmetry Schiff-base ligands L1,L2,L4,L6,L11,L12 with CuBF4,AgSbF6,AgBF4,AgNO3,AgSO3CF3,AgPF6,AgClO4 afforded 8 new coordination polymers and supramolecular complexes: [Cu4(L1)4](BF4)2·3(CH3OH) (1),{Ag(L2)SbF6}n (2),{Ag(L4)BF4}n (3),{Ag2(L4)(NO3)2}n (4),{Ag2(L6)2(SO3CF3)2·3.5(CH3OH)}n (5),{Ag3(L6)4(SbF6)3}n (6),{Ag6(L11)2(PF6)6}n (7),{Ag(L12)ClO4}n (8) . Their single crystal structures were investigated.2. The coordination chemistry of Urea ligands and transition metalsReactions of novel symmetry, asymmetry Schiff-base ligands L14, L15 with AgSbF6,AgSO3CF3,CuClO4,CuBF4,AgNO3,AgClO4,AgH2PO4 afforded 8 new coordination polymers: {[Ag(L14)(C6H6)]SbF6}n (9), {[Ag(L14)(C6H6)0.5] SO3CF3·0.5 (C6H6)}n (10), {[Cu(L14)2]ClO4}n (11),{[Cu (L14)2 ]·BF4 }n (12),{[Ag (L15)] NO3}n (13), {[Ag(L15)(THF)2]SbF6(THF)}n (14), {[Ag(L15)(THF)] ClO4·(THF)}n (15), { Ag (L15)2(THF)0.5] H2PO4}n (16). Their single crystal structures and luminescent properties were investigated in the solid state.The organic-inorganic coordination polymers reported herein are the novel contents in the field of organic-inorganic composite material. Moreover, it also offered a new approach for the formation of novel supramolecular networks with interesting physical properties. The synthesized pH fluorescent probes have good fluorescence responses in the extensive pH range, which may have an available application for the determination of extreme pH value in cytobiology.
