The Relationship Between Environmental Pollution And Economical Growth In China Based On The Environment Kuznets Curve

With the rapid economical growth since reform and openness in China, a variety ofenvironmental problems are emerging, leading the government to face the environmentalprotection challenge while developing economy. Therefore, how to promote thecoordinated development of economy and environment becomes the key issue in currentsociety. As a developing country, China is also confronted with many environmentproblems and it is necessary for us to study the relationship between environment andeconomy, as well as its influencing factors in China so as to coordinate the developmentof economy and environment according to the fact in China.This paper starts with introducing the EKC hypothesis knowledge; then analyzingthe tendency of the Chinese economy development, three industrial constitutions, therelationship between the environmental pollution and the average per person GDP. Basedon the historical data of the econolny and the environmental pollution from 1989 to 2005in China, utilizing fuzzy rnathematics principle to establish the mathematical model of theappraisal environmental pollution, and then extracts the environmental pollutioncomposite index for those years. According to the relationship between the environmentalpollution and the average per person GDP, using Excel software to find out therelationaldiagram of curves and the corresponding relations mathematical model, andanalyze the economic and the environmental policy to the reason of curve formation,simultaneously has produced the curvetrend reason.Finally, based on the fact and theabove result, the paper put forwards some policy suggestions over the continuousdevelopment of environment and economy.There are three main parts in this paper as follows:(1) Theoretical analysis on the relationship between enviroment and economy(2) Current situation of environment and economic growth in China(3) Empirical research on the curve relationship between economic growth andenvironmental quality and its rationality and possibility.This paper comes to the following conclusion:Firstly, in China's three industries, the proportion of the second industry occupiesincreased in a big range, the proportion of the tertiary industry occupies invariable, theprimary industry assumes the drop tendency.Overall, the industrialstructure has notachieved the perfect condition.Secondly, along with the economical growth the Chinese solid reject withdrawalassumes increasing year by year; Mist and dust withdrawal droppedyear by year before2003, the sulphur dioxide withdrawal increased firstly, then dropped before 2003. in thetwo kind of pollution factors withdrawal of waste gas assumes the grown trend after2003. The pollution condition of waste water is basically under the control.Thirdly, China's EKC curve manifestation has its own distinctive quality, does notpresent but actually U, is assumes but actually W, and is greatly influened by the nationalenvironmental protection policy.Fourthly, the target and the target standard system are deciding the curve shape,affecting the relationship between the environment synthesis pollution index and theaverage per person GDP, also influenced the objective, correct analysis between them.
