There are abundant of low ash, low sulfur and low phosphorous coal in western area of our country. If those coal could be increased its plasticity by means of hydrogenation, it will instead of coking coal and the shortness of low ash, low sulfur coking coal will be solved. This thesis, which is based on the 863 special subject problems that is the technology study on hydrogenation to change characters about low metamorphic bituminous coal, is about the feasibility of high quality para-bituminous coal's transformation to coking coal through hydrogenation and the better reaction condition.The special study on hydrogenating to increase plasticity about low metamorphic bituminous coal is quite few. But in the residue of coal liquefaction asphaltene and pre-asphaltene are found which has high plasticity, when studying the liquefaction residue of Shenhua coal. If the asphaltene and pre-asphaltene would be found after hydrogenating on low metamorphic bituminous coal, the intention to increase plasticity will come true.In this experiment long flame coal from Shendong coal mine areas is selected as object of study. The experiment is processed in autoclave, according to the method of coal liquefaction. In his article I study the feasibility of increasing plasticity and the selection of reaction condition, meanwhile analyze the aroma structure and the plasticity of hydrogenated product, furthermore count the conversion rate.The result shows that gas-hydrogenation is unavailable, mix-hydrogenation can achieve the purpose, but the harsh condition is necessary. Tetralin is used as hydrogenation solvent; the proportion of coal to slurry is 60/40. After adding catalyst, the condition becomes milder. In selected condition the conversion rate is up to 86.14%, hydrogen's wastage is 0.45%, and the productivities of asphaltene and pre-asphaltene are 20.267% and 16.13% separately. The sequence of influence factors is Catalyst > Temperature > Pressure > Time. The better reaction condition of hydrogenation is 350℃, 4.0Mpa, 50min, magnetite as catalyst and sulfur as assistant catalyst. The aroma structure and function group of product transforms from original coal; since the product has better plasticity, it will be used as coking coal.
