In order to improve the computer control system for a spurting coal furnace, the design of the computer control system is studied in this thesis. To change the situations, such as the insufficiency of the function block, the lag of the CPU and the low speed, combined with the technical process of the furnace and the technical requests to test and control, ESC-100 control system developed by Zhejiang University Central Control Company is used to sample the control system I/O points as well as to scheme and design the network structure of the hardware and the software of the system. The control system for spurting coal of the furnace can control the injection quantity of the coal, adjust the injection speed of the coal, measure the quantity of the coal powder and weigh up the coal pot. Through the monitor and alarm to the running data, the parameter and the run situation of the equipment, a series of requests, such as automatic control and automatic monitor to spurting coal of the blast furnace, safe chain-like and so on, have been achieved. The design of the system has achieved the goals of automatic control and automatic monitor to the spurting coal of the furnace and safe chain-like. The design of the system has improved the control precision and the efficiency of spurting coal, it has also saved the energy and attained the good economic efficiency and social efficiency.
