From the beginning of 1980s of the 20th century, with the rapid development of computer technology, the concept of virtual instruments are gradually understanding to industry and academia. After 20 years of technological progress and development, it has become an important direction of testing technology and equipment in 21st century,and has been extensively applied in research, Manufacture ,development and many other fields. With the introduction of virtual instrument technology in electrochemical corrosion testing technology, we can enhance traditional equipment operable and rapidly customize special testing system and reduce research equipment investment.Based on LabVIEW 8.0 development platform,NI M series of PCI-6251 data acquisition card with high-precision and general potentiostat,we developed virtual electrochemical corrosion teating system and virtual frequency response analyzer. After experimental verification, it achieved good results.Virtual electrochemical corrosion testing system, includes the measurements of electrode potential, steady polarization curves , electrochemical transient and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The control signal generated by data acquisition was superposed on potentiostat. Test data collected by the data acquisition card was processed,displayed and saved by computer.Virtual frequency response analyzer developed based on digital correlation filtering technology completes the test of electrochemical impedance by scanning frequency. High-order harmonic, noise and DC component generated by nonlinear of testing system can be effectively reduced based on digital correlation filtering technology. After experimental verification on simulation electrolytic cell and a variety of electrochemical corrosion system, we achieved satistactory results.
