Innovative design of mechanical scheme is the primary phase in the course of mechanical design, stand or fall of Innovative design of mechanical scheme will straightly give birth to life or death of product. Traditional mechanical design method is weak in giving help in the phase of innovative design of mechanical scheme, design mostly depends on designer's experience.TRIZ is a theory that gives designer guidance in innovative design, this thesis mainly researches on the application of TRIZ to innovative design of mechanical scheme and systematical design of Child Resistant safety mechanism using TRIZ. The purpose of design of Child Resistant safety mechanism is to devise a mechanism that can prevent child lighting the lighter, which can satisfy the international safety code about lighter.This thesis gives research to characteristic and application of the tool of TRIZ and primarily researches on the shortage. Accord to the research, this thesis offers improvement in three aspects, which effectually devises several Child Resistant safety mechanisms.The improvements to TRIZ include improvement in thinking, improvement in course, improvement of tools. Systematical three-dimensional thinking method considers and analyze problem from resource Systematically, space and time. Improvement in course which adopts the advantage of QFD and ABD, solves the shortage of TRIZ in fixing contradiction and achieving the scheme of issue. Improvement of tool gives convenience of contradiction matrix in the use of mechanical design, which adopts the point of mechanical engineering. The above improvement gives betterment in three different administrative levels. Improvement in thinking emphasize particularly on widening the designer's thought, resolve the question from widest angle of view. Improvement in course emphasize particularly on providing a clear course which could supply guidance in design and primarily solves the contradiction and achieves the scheme of issue. Specialization contradiction matrix is convenient for mechanical design. Besides, each other has tight relation.The design of Child Resistant safety mechanism validates the improvements to TRIZ.
