As the mainly accessory components of the vehicle and the first self-determination research and development good-sized and complicated die-casting of the magnesium alloy in our country at the same time. Automobile block chain cover's research and development has very important influencing effect. The manufacturing of magnesium alloy product and application gathers new material,new technique and new craft to one body,it is a quick rising and huge development potential industry. It has subjected extensive concern by domestic and international government and corporation.The finite element method is used far-ranging in the design of vehicle structure, because it can solute mechanics problems which have arbitrary structure,shape or boundary condition. All kinds of vehicle parts can use FEM to perform static analysis,normal analysis and dynamic analysis. Today, using normal analysis and dynamic analysis to solute actual engineering problem is more and more important. So, we can save more time and decrease funds loss by using FEM to obtain usability information.The main contents and conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The characteristic of established the geometry modle with Pro/E has been summarized. Take one automobile block chain cover as an example, introduced how to use Pro/E to set up the geometry model of the automobile block chain cover in standardized modeling step.(2)Summarizing introduced to set up incrustation connect process of Pro/E and ANSYS, this method greatly lightened workload to establish complicated FEM model in ANSYS, but date lose was a abuse. (3)Using self-schlepp gridding creater automatism to create automobile block chain cover's FEM gridding and repair some gridding that made by the data loss with powerful technique of gridding-repaired, the technique ensures simulation operation and simulation result's veracity.(4)Automobile block chain cover's simulation analysis display that result accord with design request because of less transfiguration in design load. The stress analysis display,σ1-σ3=85.1 MPa,but[σ]=113.3MPa,so request accord with the third intensity theory's request;[(σ1-σ2)2+(σ2-σ3)2+(σ3-σ1)2]/2=5466.9 MPa,but[σ]2=28900MPa,so request accord with the fourth intensity theory's request, ascending, Automobile block chain cover could normally work in design load.(5)Accessing to study the first self-determination research and development good-sized and complicated die-casting of the magnesium alloy in our country, which fill up blankness of this field and inaugurate basic for research and development in future.
